From 10:30-12:00 you and your partner will ice skate around the rink 3 times without dropping a mini figurine of the statue of liberty on a spoon in this developed country. The team will find themselves in the HEARTH of New York. They will be carrying the statue of liberty on their spoon, and this symbolizes one of New Yorks ANTHROPOGENIC changes made to their land. -

You will then take a cab 30 minutes from New York La Guardia {your airport} to Rockefeller Center, where you will complete your first challenge! For the team's 1st challenge they will find themselves EMERSED in this beautiful region. -

Challenge #2
For your next challenge you will both dress up like leprachauns and search for a chest with a three leaf clover in it. To open the chests you are to solve Irish riddles that are given to you by other "leprachauns." Clovers are known to make a big partof their LANDSCAPE. With the mention of rainbows and pots of gold, Ireland becomes a PERCEPTUAL REGION. However, clovers do make up a part of the Irish's ETHNIC BACKROUND. -

Your team will get on a flight to Durban South Africa that will take 16 hours and 25 minutes. But don't worry about the length of the flight, you'll be flying in first class, and arrive there in no time! -
Arrival
Your team ill arrive in the wonderful Durban, South africa at 5:30 a.m. -
Cab
You will then take a cab to Dance Direction International for your next challenge! -
Challenge #3
Your team will learn a cultural Zulu dance and preform it in front of a crowed and get their approval to move on in the race. {1 1/2 hours} In the Zulu culture, dance would be seen as NON MATERIAL CULTURE. The team will get too see and expirience other things while dancing such as learning about different RACES. As well as learning the dance, the team will also discover the different RELIGIONS that are tied to the dances. -

After all that dancing the team will take a cab to the airport. -
Departure
The team will depart from South Africa and embark on a 13 hour and 14 minute flight to Australia. -
Arival
Your team will arrive at 9:55 a.m. in Stamfort plaza Syd Airport -

Take a flight to the Great barrier reef at 10:15-11:25 a.m. -
Challenge!!!
The teams next challenge is in the amazing colorful reef we know as The Great Barier reef. The team will have to take a picture of at least 3 fish that were in he movie NEMO. Snorkel around this wonderful ISLAND full of many colorful and DIVERSE fish. This movie full of fish and fun DIFFUSEDit's way around the world, and is loved by many people. -
Departure
You will fly back to your hotel and get some rest for your flight the next day. -

The team wil take a 15 hour and 13 minute flight to Alaska, at 11:00 a.m. -

Land in alaska at 2 a.m. -

Take a cab to "Anchorage to Kennel", where you will complete your last challenge -
Challenge!
The team will go dog sledding with a professional and complete a mile long course. The beautiful tall mountains in Alaska are the reason why natives have apdet dog sledding; this has greatly impacted their CULTURAL IDENTITY. The RELATIVE LOCATION of where they are dog sledding is east of the Chugach Mountains. This gives them a sense of SPACIAL PERSPECTIVE, they can see how the mountains have erroded over time. -

The team will then take a cab back to the airport -

You will depart from Alaska at 5:00 a.m. -
Arrival
The team will arrive in Detroit in result of a layover at 8:00 and spend the night. -

You will then take a cab to the Holiday inn where you will stay overnight -

The team will depart from Detroit and will expirience another layover. -
Arrival
The team will arrive in North Carolina at 8:00p.m. and have to stay overnight. -
Departure
The team will depart from North Carolina and head home to Florida at 9:00 a.m. -

The team will arrive in Miami Florida at 10:00 a.m., and have finished their race!
