Personal Profile- Part 1

  • Important Event #1

My first important event in my life is when I started school in first grade. The reason this is important is because I'd been moving around from a few different places and moving schools as well, but I ended up staying at that school until I graduated 8th grade. With this event in my life I learned to be optimistic in a stressful situation.
  • Important Event #2

Starting 3rd grade; this year was important because I met a teacher that helped me through a lot of turmoil going on at home, and met a lot of friends when previously I had little to no friends. I learned to be couragous and open up to new people.
  • Important Event #5

In 3rd grade I had a "friend" who was very mean to me, she was bossy and controlling and said a lot of hurtful things to me which I allowed her to do for a pretty long time until I finally stood up to her and said as nicely as I could that I was done with her pushing me around. I learned to stand up for myself, which I still struggle with, even now.
  • Important Event #3

Doing my 4th grade presentation on Hashepsut in front of all my teachers and my entire grade. I had to present on stage and I was very nervous, but my babysitter Kaitlyn came to see me and my sister present so we were excited to impress her. I learned to be brave even though I felt nervous.
  • Important Event #4

I met one of my best friends in 4th grade, who I became close friends with very fast and am still friends with today. Although we went through a bit of bullying during this time, we had each other to rely on and it made everything a lot easier. During this time I learned to be tough and allow myself to focus on the good rather than the bad.
  • Important Event #6

In 6th grade, me and another boy got into an arguement which led to him calling me a lot of innapropriate words. I told me sister about it and it made her really upset, so without asking me for permission, she told a teacher. The teacher thought I had provoked the boy, and we had to go the the prinipals office to talk it out, which was really scary and the first time I'd ever gotten into trouble at school. This event taught me resilience
  • Important Event #7

Starting High School and meeting a lot of friends, but also having a really hard time transitioning from 8th to 9th grade mentally, which then became even more difficult with the pandemic. Unfortunately I didn't learn too much during this time, but I did gain a lot of traits like grit.
