Being born was obviously a huge time in my life, because it gave me my life. This is important to me, because its the whole reason why I'm here
-
I was born in America, and since my whole family (except for my brother) are Brazilian, my parents wanted me to meet the rest of my family. So, we moved to Brazil and spent 4 years there. I'm so thankful my family did this, because if they didn't, I wouldn't have had such close relationships with my family
-
This is obviously not in 2006, but I couldn't find any pictures back then, so heres a picture with me & grandma

I was 2 years old when i learned how to walk. Apparently this was a very special moment because I got to share it with my parents, my brother, and my grandma. I took my first steps in her backyard. I'm very thankful i got to share such a big moment with them

I fractured my arm when we were having dinner. I wanted to see what was on the table, and since I was tiny I had to reach for the table and go on my tippy toes. I put way to much weight on the glass table, that it fell on my arm, and fractured it. This hurt.. like a lot.

My family and friend surprised me with a huge birthday party. We had the birthday party at the mall, and it was so much fun. I just remember being so surprised and shocked at how someone would do this for me.

Moving to Canada was really sudden for me, so I don't remember saying bye to all of my old friends that I made in Brazil. That kind of made me sad, but moving there was really cool. I got to see snow for the first time, make new friends, and even learn french and becoming fluent.

Being in a school that only spoke french was a really hard transition for me. I had to learn a whole new language, and meet new friends speaking that language. But I also remember it being one of the funnest times of my life.

Getting baptized was a big part of my life because I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was such a cool experience, and I loved it with my whole heart

Moving to Calgary was so exciting. We had been talking about it for a while and I was beyond happy about it. We moved because Montreal was WAY to cold, and I was excited about having some warmer weather. This was a big thing for me because I really wanted to move there.
-
Janet Johnstone was my first elementary school in Calgary, and let me just say, i miss it so much! it as such a fun experience, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

When I first moved to middle school I thought I was the coolest person ever. Being in middle school was so much fun. I remember being fascinated at the size of my new school. Spending most of my middle school experience with my Calgary friends means a lot to me, because I got to spend a lot of time with them before I moved. This means a lot to me because It was such a memorable time in my life, and I will never forget it.

This was not such a fun event. When we got the news that he wasn't doing well, we flew all the way to Brazil to go see him before he died. He died a few weeks before he would've become 101 years old. But seeing him unhealthy and in pain hurt me so much. Going to his funeral hurt me even more, but I knew that he was in a better place. He meant a lot to me, and not having him around hurt me deeply.

In 2017, my mom and dad divorced which is why my mom decided to come live in America. My family and I visited Utah a while before, so she decided we would be moving to Utah on Christmas. The divorcement hurt a lot. I had to say bye to my dad before he left for Canada, and it was extremely emotional. I remember having to face my friends and tell them that I was going to move. I remember their faces and what their reactions were. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I've had to do.

Going to middle school in America was so different comparing to Canada. It was a very stressful transition at first, but then became easier by the day. It was a very memorable experience, and I will never forget it

Meeting Khadra, was one of the best things that happened to me here in America. I didn't have a friend my first year here, but then I met her. shes been such a light in my life and I am so thankful that I have her as my friend.

Corona has definitely been horrible so far. I hate the fact that I have to wear masks everyday, and that social distancing is a must nowadays. It has been something that is kind of hard to get used to, especially when in school, but i'll get used to it soon.
