This was the start of my love for music.

I was saved on a school crusade trip. This changed my life for the better.
-
This was when I first became inspired to teach music. My highschool music teacher was amazing.
-
This was the day that my papaw went to be with the Lord. He was my best friend and my role model. That day changed my perspective on life and showed me that you can't take anything for granted, especially time with family.
-
This was a turning point for me socially and emotionally. I found many friends and was able to be a part of the Acapella family. It was probably my favorite part of coming to CN. It was an amazing experience to get to know and love the different people and make music with them.

This really showed me that teaching music was the right path for me. It was a wonderful experience.
-
CN helped me get started teaching piano lessons to students which has always been a career that I wanted to be able to have aside from public school teaching.
-
I reconnected with a friend from high school and it ended up turning into a relationship. He has helped me get through graduate school and student teaching by supporting me and reminding me that even when things get tough, God is always there. I don't know what I'd do without him!

My time spent student teaching showed me that I had chosen the right field of study, however, it also showed me what I did not want to teach. I learned that I did not want to teach middle school music. It's just not a good fit. I also learned that my heart is with the elementary school music classes.

This was a great sense of accomplishment, and I'm so excited to be able to have my own classroom!
