I graduated Jefferson County High School with honors in May of 2007.

I started my undergraduate career at Carson Newman in 2007. I started my career as a Chemistry / Pre-Med Major.

This was my first international mission trip. Nerves beyond belief, this trip pushed me so far out of my confort zone that I woul dnever be able to return.

This trip had a huge impact on my life and how I veiw things around me. It opened my eyes to the huge needs in our comminites as well as ways to show compassion to others.

I spent the summer backpacking around Zimbabwe the summer of 2011. While I spent lots of time in medical clinics and orphanages, it was during this time I really felt a call to teaching.

My step father battled a hard fight with cancer. Throughout his year long battle with cnacer, no matter how hard or rough things got, he remained encouraging and positive. He taught me more about having a servents heart and positive attitude than any one else.

I graduated with my undergraduate career from Carson Newman College in May of 2011 with a BA in Religion with a minor in Chemistry and Biology.

I started my master degree in teaching in the fall of 2011. While I did take some time off to help with family issues, I am looking forward to entering the education world next year!

I started my career with the Boys and Girls Club which has shaped me greatly in the professional world.

Joining the First United Methodist Church was the first big step I took as an adult. I had attended the same church for most of my life but I was starting to feel as if this church was not the place I need to be at the time. I choice to search for a church that challenged me a bit more to grow in my faith.
