However, this was not necessarily a good thing because there were not as many workers, therefore decreasing the rate. One day in the third grade, my neighbor, who was also a classmate in third grade, came over my house to ask to hang out. This experience led to further getting to know each other and ending up as the best of friends.

I've been to Taiwan many times before this time, but i don't have any memories of it before. In this trip, I remembered a lot and it made me never want to leave. We traveled around the whole island, going to the southern, western, northern, and eastern most parts of the island. We hiked in the Taiwanese Red Cyprus Forest and it revealed to me how much I liked to explore. I always thought I was more of an inside person, but after the trip, I realized I like the outdoors more.

Although still needing approval from congress, Puerto Rico showed interest in becoming a state. This is important because it raises many questions for the future. It could change a lot of the systems in the U.S which were made for 50 states. Also, questions like what would happen to the flag if Puerto Rico were added would arise. Puerto Rico joining the U.S as a state would cause a lot of conflicts.(http://www.pr51st.com/)

I was never planning on going on a ride, but since it was the roller coaster capital, it would be a waste not to. I made up my mind, along with my dad pushing me to get on one, and we got on a ride. After that experience, it opened me up to new experiences, including rides in all shapes and sizes.

Going to Puerto Rico for vacation last summer with my family allowed me to connect with my family more. My grandparents on my dad's side went. My cousins from Oklahoma, Taiwan, and my grandma from Taiwan also went. This was a rare incident where we all got to spend time together, and this trip allowed us to do so. This trip allowed me to see how out of touch we were and allowed us to get to know each other. To strengthen our relationship, we communicate often now despite the long distance.
