  • THAO'S FIRST STEP

    THAO'S FIRST STEP
Baby first steps, it is challenging as a baby. Don't know what my family are saying to, "stand up." Learning my first steps is clumsy as riding a bike. Each day, my family members were trying to teach me how to walk, until I can understand what I was doing.
  • CHILD GENIUS

    CHILD GENIUS
As I child, I love numbers. Everywhere I go, I would count, such as groups of birds, trees, or even people wearing yellow. As I continue to grow, I would have more knowledge on learning my addition and subtraction. As numbers present in a math equation, I would replace as birds, such as three birds, plus, two birds, as a result of finding my answers.
  • OUT ON MY OWN

    OUT ON MY OWN
My dad got a four-wheeler bike for my birthday as a child. When I am use to riding my bike, I would drive further down the streets, without any permission. During the ride, as I remember, I am at down to Norridge district. I remember this memory, because I got lost, don't know where I am. I was scared, but as a familiar street I know, I would use that street and find my way home.

When I was little, my mom would sign me up for dance lesson. I learn how to ballet, hip hop, and jazz. I did not like ballet at all, on the other hand, I enjoy Hip/hop and Jazz. I continue doing that for a nice three years.
  • North Carolina

    North Carolina
In my freshman year, I moved to North Carolina. I moved to North Carolina, because I wanted to go somewhere with new opportunities. Also, my mom had a temporary job. North Carolina is definitely the opposite of Chicago. You can do more outdoor activities, such as, hiking; backpacking; and able to do more service.

  • THAO IS BEING QUIET?

    THAO IS BEING QUIET?
As I started school, I wasn't new for those who are around me. I would be the quiet and less active at school, because I do not know anybody, for this reason, I wasn't myself, but a quiet kid. Some people try to talk to me, but there wasn't much to say. Few of my friends, I remember, I can get along with. The laugh, the cries that moment I realize I can get out of my comfort zone, because they are no longer strangers. I went to two elementary school around my district.
  • NC vs IL

    NC vs IL
In my high school years, I have went to two different high school. Freshman, I went to Watauga high school in NC and Taft for my last two years from now. The school from NC was definitely wasn't much diverse as Taft, Watauga has different beliefs which I wanted to become more knowledge about, and many opportunities to sign up a sign.
  • OUT OF COUNTRY

    OUT OF COUNTRY
I finally get to see the view of Vietnam. Vietnam is the other side of the world. I went to Vietnam, when I was 9 years old. I was able to see my relatives, I've never met before. It is amazing journey. I am able to see most of my cousins living in Vietnam.
  • WILD ANIMALS

    WILD ANIMALS
My mom would consider me as spoiled. I remember owning not just one pet, but three! My first pets I have were goldfish, guinea pig, and a dog. Caring for the dogs wouldn't as hard as I thought, on the other hand, my guinea pig gives me frustration. The guinea pig did not let me him/her. As I continue to take care of the guinea pig, I decided, I do not want it anymore. I would feed my guinea pig cucumbers, as a result died toward the end. I was't show any emotion as my mom buried it.
  • FINE ARTS

When I was in 8th grade, I audition for Chiarts. I was indeed nervous, because the directors do not know me at all. I am afraid wouldn't accept me, on the other hand as I audition the directors do like me. Fine arts is an amazing experience. I am able to work with other students, who have the same interest as me. Towards the end of March, I got an acceptation letter, but decide not to go because I wanted to go to NC for new opportunities.
