  • Parents are healthy

    Neither parent consumes alcohol or take substances of any type. Both remain completely healthy during the pregnancy.
  • Doctor's Visists

    My parents scheduled visits to the doctor to make sure everything was okay.
  • Birth

    I was born a very healthy baby with no complications.
  • Parental Attachment

    I have developed an attachment to my parents, especially my dad.
  • Start Walking

    A little after ten months, I learned how to walk.
  • Going to Preschool

    I started going to preschool fairly young. This prepared me for going to school, as the school was really good at preparing students.
  • Start Reading

    At about the age of four, I can read.
  • Parents Divorice

    Parents divorice and I end up living with my mom, although I'm attached to my dad. This creates stress on a young me and creates permenant tension between my mother and myself.
  • Kindergarten

    I went to elementary school.
  • Move to Colorado

    My mother and I move to Colorado, where my dad lives. The move caused me to have a hard time making friends, and I became very introverted.
  • Mom Remarries - Get New Family

    My mom married my step dad and we moved into his house. This not only meant a change in home and school, but I also lived with three brothers, when I had only ever lived with one of my three sisters. One brother was my age, so I had to get used to having a new sibling.
  • Gain an Interest in Arts

    My interestests and talents start developing and I realize I really enjoy the arts, especially the performing arts. This enables me to make some friends and start really forming an identity.
  • Go to a Charter School

    I decide to start high school at a charter school instead of the public high school. I start learning to think critically and reflect more on what I truly believe instead of what I was told to believe as a child. I develop a new way of thinking.
  • Move in with Dad

    After the living situation got significantly worse, I moved in with my Dad. This meant a change in schools and social activities.
  • Beginning of Senior Year

    This was important because I took on a great sense of responsibility. I became the leader of many different activities and became an overall school leader. This meant a change in attitude and how I viewed myself.
  • Graduation

    I graduated high school as a completely different person from when I entered. I feel highly accomplished and ready to move on in life.
  • Go to College

    I move up to Fort Lewis. Although my family is nearby, this is the first time I am living on my own. I learn to be independent and responsible, and I learn what living on my own means.
