I was born in Georgia into a drug-addicted family. My grandfather and his wife adopted me in 2001 and moved me to tennessee to start a new and better life, My grandfather is my hero!

I was in VBS during the month of June the year I was adopted when I leanred that the Earth was not my home!

I applied to Carson Newman during the summer before mty senior year of high school. I was accepted shortly after. This has obviously influenced my prfessional life in a major way. I will be a "professional" because of the degree I will earn at Carson Newman. I have also taken several history classes to prepare me to effectively teach social studies.

I started helping in Sunday school at church at a very young age. i have also worked at National Fitness Center in child care, Lil Kings and Queens day care, and have had several practicum experiences. I will be able to use what I learned in these experiences to better teach children in social studies and other subjects as well.

This is the day I graduated high school from Sevier County. A lot of people refer to it as the end, but it was just the beginning.

This is Alley! She is my best friend's daughter and was born August 15, 2009. She is my goddaughter and I love her to death!

Gamma Sigma Sigma is a national service soority with the motto "Unity in Service." This will help me to be a better social studies teacher because of all the social work we have done. it has been incredibly eye opening.

This was a life changing event for me; however, my grandfather and I have always been very close. This brought us closer together and made me grow up quickly.

Wade was my uncle and raised me as if he were my father. He died suddenly of a major heart attack 2 Christmas's ago at age 31.

This is my child...seriously! This was my first pet that I had after I moved out. My boyfriend got it for me for Valentine's Day.

Merry Christmas eve to us! Made for a great Christmas dinner! Hunting is soomething I love so this was a very exciting day!

I started exercising and eating health on June 1st 2011 and by May 1st 2012, I lost 60 pounds!! This was a major change for my health and confidence.

This will be a magical day! All my hard work will have paid off and I will finally be a real teacher! I cannot wait for this day but I am nervous about it at the same time. This will enable me to be a great teacher for social studies and other subjects!
