First Day of Kindergarten with Mrs. Carlyle

First Day of Kindergarten with Mrs. Carlyle
My first year of school was awesome! I've known I wanted to be a teacher since my first day of kindergarten. I have written college essays, high school essays, and even did a project on her in middle school. She listened when I spoke and always seemed to be on my side, even if I was getting in trouble. Our relationship came semi-full circle when I babysat her kids throughout high school. She was truly someone I will never forget!

Hello World! I was born in Houston, Tx!
Lucky for me, I woke up the first time ever to meet both of my parents as well as one of my best friends and older sister, Kayla. She was 3yrs old at the time and was not my biggest fan but don't worry she learned to love me.

    Best. Valentines Day. Ever.
My baby sister was born on Valentines Day of 2000 and will always be the best and worst present I've ever gotten! She the coolest 16 year old you will ever meet. She is looking to play college softball as well and is currently waiting for an offer from Dartmouth University. :) I'm a proud sister.

We're Moving?!?! - Moved Houses and Schools in 3rd Grade
My family moved houses over Christmas Break of my 3rd grade year. It was a really scary experience having to leave my friends and teachers to change schools. Lucky for me, Mrs. Jacquet, made the transition smooth. She was goofy and confident and had the coolest room in the whole school! I still remember walking in on the first day and seeing the paper trees that reached to the ceilings, the brown construction paper vines that swung down. I loved learning in the amazon!

Are you that girl that fell down the stairs???
In seventh grade, our entire class met in the cafeteria for a presentation. I was walking down the grand staircases from the second floor and tripped. I tumbled down head over heels and landed face down on the landing. It was in that moment that I DECIDED to make the best of the situation. I popped up, made a joke, and headed down stairs. It turned out to be a situation that taught me how to find the positive in situations. I got a part in the school play based off my grace and new popularity!

    My FIRST (official) Coaching Position!
I was given the opportunity to be the assistant coach for Sudden Impact, a 16 and under team that was based out of the Woodlands,Tx. I learned so much from getting to work with these girls and my head coach Tammie Davis. I was able to travel with the team to Chicago, Colorado, and California. I love coaching and have continued to work as a coach every summer since!
  • Class of 2013!!

    Class of 2013!!
Graduating from High School was the first major academic accomplishment that I felt like made me a "big kid". Leading up to graduating you are forced to make some big decision like where to go to college, what your major might be, if you want to go out of state, etc.
  • First Year of College!

    First Year of College!
Moving away from home was a hard thing to do! I definitely grew up in that first year of college and learned so much about my major, myself, and the person I wanted to be.

    Gaining a Guardian Angel
In the spring of my freshman year at Southwestern, I got a phone call from my parents telling me it was time to come home and say goodbye. My grandmother was fading quickly and they weren't sure how much time she had. My grandmother was one of my best friends, I used to call her to and from classes if I didnt have anyone to walk with. I know my MeMe would be so proud of my sisters and I if she could see us today.

Voted Captain of the Softball Team
Taking the leadership role on the team was really important to me and is something I strive to do with or without the fancy title. I like being the person thats main job wast to advocate for myself and my teammates each week in our meetings with Coach Fro.
