I am Cavon Corrie I am an Irish who lived his life on a potato farm. I was born in 1860. life was boring and hard. My parents died, so I stayed with my grandparents for a while. life wasn't that much of a struggle. I got a steady income, and had a good soical life. There was something in my heart always telling me I wanted more...
  • Duffy's cut

Before I left my grandparents told me about Duffy's cut. I was tramatized. 57 men died of cholera, but my grandpa has ears like a hawk. He told me there was rumors that they had dive because of a fight. He told me to be careful, so he gave me the best revolver. I had to smuggle the revolver though... I hid it in a hollow potato then sew the skin together to make it look like a regular potato.
  • so close...

After a long joureny I was finally in America. The Statue of Liberty was breath taking. Every other immigrant was also speechless. Dads picked their kids up to show them the new life they were going to have. It was all good until I got off the boat. everything was a hassle. The Americans, so rude. They pushed everyone into one place, and went through all your personal stuff. The other immigrants also were rude. Cutting in line, there was a fight because of that.
  • Warm welcome

more info it took me about two months before I finally got my U.S. Citzenship. Then what I asked? I took my bag and was about to go the the exit when all of a sudden I was stopped by I man, he called himself Boss Tweed. He was a big man, and a big help. He set me up an apartment, and gave me a job. He told me to do one thing though, vote for him. I really didn't care so I told him I would.

I soon got a hang of being able to keep my balance. Others... not so lucky. about 5 people fell every month. My best friend died from falling. I learned to not have any friendships until the skyscraper was built.
