  • 6.3 Identity vs Role Confusion

After watching other classmates' videos, I noticed that some of them established their own journey at a young age for reasons - job, family, marriage, and etc. In that stage, teenagers or young adults begin to learn how to manage responsibility and life skills before they enter adulthood to approach reality. For example, they need to learn and take the experience to understand how the real world looks like before they go to college or work to achieve their goals.
  • 4.1 Young Adult Role Transition

People in young adulthood completed their degree at high school and begin their own journey to follow their passion or decision. I graduated the high school at that time and be ready to attend Gallaudet University at 18 years old. Some people decided to go to work instead of attending the university because of financial issues or have no interest to take an education in postsecondary education. I might take a challenge - learn how to become independent and set the financial budget by myself.
  • 7.2 Transitions

From conformist to individualistic transition, I pick this stage to apply on my experience when i leave the home for college. I noticed that I was not who i am before anymore and my view of everything changed after I become a Gally student. I discover my real friends, the experience of the real world, find the passion that i want to be, and enjoy college life. But, sometimes i need some help for mental health issues such as stress out, frustrated about everything, and panicked about failures.
  • 1.1 The Beginning

On my 18th birthday, I became an adult and got the responsibility to learn how to become independent. For example therefore I had to learn how to manage the money on my credit card, set time management, write important information on my notes, called the appointments by myself, and more things that I needed to do. That day was appropriate for me to understand that I needed to be ready to become a legal adult with responsibilities. This experience is applied to normative age-graded influences.
  • 2.1 Oxidative Damage

Oxidative damage theory defines as the theory that the cells and physical function such as resistance and repair began to decrease. Also, it explained that chemical reactions can affect physical function. For example, people in their 20's should do exercise to prevent and support physical function can delay the decrease when they become over 40 or 50 years old. It can benefit them to resist and repair for longer.
  • 6.4 Conformist

During that stage, there have lots of experiences to approach the challenges during the life journey. Some videos met the good and bad ending to impact individuals life and it could lead them to change the path. Also, sometimes they had a hard time involved with family or friends to receive support. For example, I was involved with people that are not as real friends as i thought. The better way for me to cut the friendship is by telling them that I don't want to see them in my life for good.
  • 7.3 Major Life Event

After my grandmother's best friend's death, she is my aunt even she and I are not blood-related but she visited my grandmother's house at all times. She was a very sweet woman and loved to chat with my grandma and aunts. She died from COVID19 complications in September 2020 and that day was struck me. I was devastated and struggled to focus on school. My friends are my emotional support and they helped me cope with stress because the assignments were overwhelmed for me in that month.
  • 2.3- My current healthy lifestyle

My current healthy lifestyle is hard for me to eat healthy food and stay being active because of concerns and stuck in this pandemic even the vaccine released. I did walk around the house but it is not enough for me and busy with online classes in which i don't have time for exercise. I am trying to get healthy food and ended up i can't resist the junk food. I hope I can collect healthy food and stay stable to reduce to eat junk food as soon as possible.
  • 4.3 Adult Attachment Style

I took survey B to test how I feel toward my partner and the result of my attachment. My result showed that I am preoccupied, which defines individuals who feel comfortable sharing emotions and problems with the partners. For example, I don't mind sharing my feelings or problems with my partner. I believe that it is helpful for us to build a trust relationship and develop a good bond. This is what I expect and this result is similar to my perceptive of what a relationship looks like.
  • 7.1 Fowler

I picked Synthetic-Conventional Faith. This stage is to analyze me and find the purpose of my experiences as Christianity. I read the example that Fowler took an interview with an old lady and I feel the same way as that old lady. I do believe in God but I am not sure if i have enough faith in God. I often pray sometimes for an important reason and i am always thankful to God. I admit that i am not perfect but i am trying to learn from my mistakes and reflect on my actions.
  • 6.1 My RIASEC type

After taking a test, the result determined that my career interest focus on social type. My personality traits and interests are helping others, teaching, trustworthy, willing to guide, and etc. which applied to the jobs focus on people. For example, I checked on the second website to match my type from the first website, I put SEA - Social, Enterprising, Artistic to see the career what I want to become and there has a position as a teacher at the secondary level. It is matched on my interests.
  • 6.2 Super’s Stages

As a teacher in high school, I picked one of these stages - establishment. During that stage, I could continue my career as a teacher to learn more about resources to support the students' education and provide better lessons for them to understand the concepts. Then, I could observe their learning and develop my skills to teach in a better way for the future. And, there have things that i need to learn through my career and it can improve my abilities based on my experience.
  • 3.1 Intelligence

IADL could take this more challenges because the intelligence can decline at early and more decline in late adulthood which will need IADL to assist their daily lives. Like lack of cognitive abilities to figure out, problem-solving, memory, etc. There have ways to prevent the decline in intelligence like social interaction with others, go to book club, learn things from the internet, and things that make them busy.
  • 4.2- Older Adult Role Transition

People in middle adulthood expect to still in marriage and their own family. I am not in middle adulthood yet but i expect in that time that I would have a good marriage with a future partner and create a family. Also, I could still work at school as a teacher and continue teaching about history in high school. The challenges that i might face in that time would have serious discussions with my children about their future and worrying about them. I would contact my children to check on them.
  • 2.4- Potential consequences of my lifestyle

These health survey questions can impact my health when i will be 50 years old. I could get heart disease, skin cancer, early stage of Alzheimer's, and other diseases because I don't eat healthy food and being active to stay stable. Also, it may lead my health issues to appear before i become 50 years old. The best way to decrease the risks of health issues is to eat healthy food, exercise, get good sleep, and more things that can help to prevent the disease and increase my lifespan expectancy.
  • 3.2 Memory

IADL can take this more challenge to take care of people who struggle to remember anything. They can check on them if their memory is still function. Memory is the important ability in the brain to hold the information and can share it when they can remember the information. There have ways to avoid the risks of memory loss like put things on the notes and they can look at the notes to remember. Memory can decline in middle adulthood and struggle to remember the small information.
