    It was a close one, but Napoleon successfully beat the Austrians at the Battle of Marengo. Winning this proved Napoleon a strong leader as First Consul and removed the Austrians from most of Italy.

    To ensure economic prosperity, Napoleon controlled the prices of his country. Trades would be fair and make people happy. Keeping the prices under a watchful eye prevented inflation. Inflation leads to unfortunate events, such as The Great Depression, and Napoleon did an excellent job avoiding that.

    Instead of pursuing any plans with Louisiana, Napoleon decides to sell the land to America for 15 Million USD. All this money was incredibly beneficial to France. France was able to prosper thanks to the deal Napoleon made.

    In December of 1804, Napoleon is crowned Emperor of France. The pope came all the way from Rome to crown Napoleon. To the pope's dismay, Napoleon took the crown from him and placed it on his head himself! The pope was overpowered and could only do a simple blessing. Napoleon made the ultimate power move and crowned himself.

    The Napoleonic Code was a set of laws made by Napoleon. This made everyone equal in rights. This also took away a few rights from citizens. Feudalism was removed from France.

    Napoleon and his army destroy the Austrian and Russian troops in battle. After being crushed, the Austrians decide to sign a peace treaty with France to make sure they don't get stomped on again! This was a great military achievement for Napoleon and the country he lead.

The Continental System would cut off all trades with England not just from France, but all the countries he conquered. Instead of attempting to destroy them in battle, he tried destroy them economically.

Escaping the island and returning to France, Napoleon took over once again. Napoleon should be remembered as a man who changed the world. Napoleon brought together almost all of Europe, and his people loved him. He built schools, spread his empire, made laws and dedicated his life to France. People remember and will continue to remember Napoleon forever.
