The consulate was a document that was pushed to make the government of France better and get rid of supremacy. This was created by three consuls. The consuls were Napoleon Bonaparte, and two other men (Emmanuel-Joseph Sieyès and Pierre-Roger Ducos) who were not in as much power. Napoleon made the decision to abolish the consulate when he declared himself as the emperor in the year of 1804. This was a big success for a Napoleon until he was crowned.

The resistance in Spain was a failure to the French because the Spanish people were devoted to the church and their former king. The Spaniards went through great efforts to drive out the French. Spanish patriots conducted “guerrilla warfare” which were hit and run raids towards the French. These attacks kept happening until a great amount of French soldiers were tied down.

France’s invasion of Russia was a failure. When they got to Russia it was extremely cold causing them to get hypothermia. They also had a lack of food for themselves and the horses. Due to their bad conditions they did not succeed in their invasion.
