    It was an intervention by a group overthrowing the current government. Napoleon was working for a better government and freedom. He eliminated France's second republic in 1851.
  • Concordat

    Concordat
    An agreement between clerical representatives and Napoleon reinforcing the Roman Catholic Church and clearing up the Church's changes during the French Revolution. It was removed in 1903
  • Loss of American Territories

    Loss of American Territories
    Napoleon sold his American territory in order to be able to pay for an upcoming war with England. He also wanted to go against Great Britain. He wanted America to benefit from this and become a rival against Great Britain
  • Napoleonic Code

    Napoleonic Code
    This was Napoleon's new laws for France after the French Revolution. These laws were much clearer and more descriptive than the previous ones. They made men's rights stronger and took away women's rights.
  • Napoleon Crowned as Emperor

    Napoleon Crowned as Emperor
    Napoleon grabbed the crown that was supposed to be put on his head by the Pope. After he took it, he placed it on his own head, crowning himself Emperor. It is believed that he did this to show that nobody was able to command him and that he was in charge.
