Napoleon becomes the first of three consuls. The three consuls were supposed to have equal power. That quick changed as Napoleon took most of the power. This later lead to him becoming the emperor of France. This is a political accomplishment because he became a part of the new government. It could also be a social reform because of the change in government.

The Battle of Marengo had the Austrians send troops to France to try and keep the monarchy. Napoleon fought back sending his own troops. Both troops collided near the city of Marengo. At first Napoleon and company retreated. Napoleon got 10,000 reinforcements, which ultimately ended in the Austrians signing an armistice. This was a Military Achievement because he won the battle against the Austrains

After losing to Napoleon in the Battle of Marengo the Austrians signed the Treaty of Luneville which made war stop and there become peace between France and Austria. Austria surrendered all of their territory south of Rhine. This was a Political accomplishment because war stopped between Austria and France temporarily.

Napoleon signed the concordat with Pope Pius VII. This showed a new relationship between the state and church. By signing this Napoleon gained the support of the people and and the organized church. This is a social reform because he made up with the church.

After ten years of war Britain and France signed the Treaty of Amiens which temporarily halted ear between them. As a part of the deal Britain kept Ceylon and Trinidad. France evacuated Naples and the Papal States. This is a Political Accomplishment because it stop war with Britain.

Napoleon sold the land to Thomas Jefferson for 15 million dollars in a deal called the Louisiana Purchase. There were two reason that Napoleon decided to sell the land in the United States. He was afraid that it would cause conflict with the United States if they did not come to an agreement. Another reason is to help pay for his wars. This is an economic success because they gained money for future wars.

In 1804 Napoleon took the crown from Pope Pius VII and crowned himself during the coronation. This gesture showed that Napoleon had more power than the church (god). This is an Political Achievement they have a new leader in power.

To avoid conflicts and to have a common law Napoleon created a set of laws called the Napoleonic Code. The code was based off of ideals of enlightenment. The new set of laws made all males equal, universal suffrage, property rights, and gave the freedom to religion. While getting rid of feudalism. This was a Social Reform because of the new laws Napoleon put in.

The Austrians and Russians signed the Pressburg Peace Treaty which pulled them out of war. Both armies were destroyed during the Battle of Austerlitz which lead them to sign the Treaty of Pressburg which pulled them out of war. This was a Political achievement because this stopped war between Russia, Austria and France.

Napoleon and his army defeated the Austrians and Russians in the Battle of Austerlitz. Napoleon outsmarted the Austria and Russia armies by having his right wing weaker temporarily. After Napoleon split the Russian and Austrian armies he had reinforcements march up from Vienna. This was a Military achievement because they defeated Russia and Austria in war.

The Prussians fought France in the Battle of Jena-Auerstedt which ultimately ended in defeat for the Prussians. During the war the Prussians were outmatched by the invading Napoleon army. This was a Military achievement because they beat the Prussians in war.

After defeats in both the Battle of Austerlitz and the Battle of Friedland Russia signed the Treaty of Tilsit. The treaty ended war between Russia and France. This was a political achievement because this stopped war with Russia.

In 1807 Napoleon fought Russian and Prussian forces in Eylau (near Poland). France lost a lot during the battle. At one point Napoleon thought about retreating. But when the Russians did so first he declared victory. This was a Military achievement because war between France, Prussians and Russia stopped.

The battle of Friedland ended in a victory for Napoleon over the Russian army. Which led Russia to sign the Treaty of Tilsit. This was a military achievement because France beat Russia again in war.

In the Battle of Wagram Napoleon defeated the Austrians. The Austrians signed the Treaty of Schonbrunn. This was a military achievement because they beat the Austrians in war.

Napoleon Bonaparte should be remembered as a war mastermind. He outsmarted many on the battlefield winning may wars for France. As a leader Napoleon did it all from economic, social reform, politically and even on the battlefield.
