Napoleon was young and not heard of. He was ordered to invade Italy and was given an army in tatters and that was awful. It was a success though because they managed to beat the allied armies. -
Egyptian Campaign 🟡
Napoleon wanted to stop British and Indias trading so he had an expedition go to Egypt. It was bad, but Napoleon lied about the losses. -
Consulate 🟢
Napoleon set up a government, the Consulate. It replaced a weak government, the Directory. -

The bank was created to help France with it’s money issues. -
Concordat of 1801 🟢
Arrangement between Napoleon and the Catholic Church. It was a success because it gave Napoleon more power and support from the French citizens. -
Consul for Life 🟢
Napoleon declared himself Consul for Life which granted him power and he proceeded to create a regime that had his ideas. Also there was a new constitution created that would give Napoleon’s future children a right to rule. -
Napolenic Code 🟡
The Napolenic Code helped France after the revolution. New laws were set. But, women lost a lot of personal rights. -
Declared Self Emperor 🟢
Napoleon crowned himself emperor. The French supported him and loved him. -
Battle of Trafalgar 🔴
The sea battle was a failure for Napoleon. The French lost against the British. The battle made the British navy to be superior. -
Abolished Holy Roman Empire 🟢
Napoleon got rid of the Holy Roman Empire and redrew the map of Europe. It was a success because France was united and felt glory and honor from the success of Napoleon. -
Continental System 🔴
Napoleon didn’t allow British ships in European ports. It hurt England companies but since Englands navy was superior- it hurt Napoleon in the end. -
Resistance in Spain 🔴
The Spanish resistated French attackers; it was a loss to the French because lots of soldiers were stuck in Spain when they could be somewhere more important -
Invasion of Russia 🔴
The invasion of Russia was caused from the tsar pulling out his support of the Continental System. Napoleons army invaded Russia but left because they didn’t have enough resources. Many French soldiers died. -
Battle of Nations at Leipzig 🔴
A battle between France, Prussia, Russia, Sweden and Austria. France lost, caused loss of French power in Germany and Poland. -
Abdication 🔴
Napoleon is abdicated and goes to Elba. Louis XVIII becomes king in his absence. It was bad for Napoleon and the citizens who were scared that France would return to the old regime. -
Hundred Days 🔴
The Hundred Days includes when Napoleon went back to Paris after getting exiled and more. It was bad because the battle of Waterloo (also during the Hundred days) caused Napoleon to step down and have King Louis XVIII to go back to the throne. -
Battle of Waterloo 🔴
The battle was the last loss of France and Napoleon. Napoleon lost his title of emperor and was banished.
