Carlo Buonaparte was appointed assessor of the judicial district of Ajaccio in 1771, after he switched his allegiance to the French. This job was able to help him enroll his two sons, Napoleon & Joseph in France's College d'Autun. -

Civil War & Napoleon's Family Relocates
Back home, Napoleon got behind the Corsican resistance to the French occupation, Napoleon had sided with his father's former ally, Pasquale Paoli. After, Napoleon & his dad soon had a fallout, and then a civil war broke out in Corsica in April 1793. Napoleon became an enemy of Paoli, and his family was forced to relocate to France, and they decided to use the French version of their last name. Their new last name was Bonaparte. -
Arrested for Treason
By the time Decmeber came, Napoleon was a hero of Toulon, Toulon was a general and favourite of Augustin Robespierre; but shortly after the wheel of revolution turned, Napoleon was arrested for Treason -
A Hero Again
Napoleon once again was a hero to the people, he had defended the government from angry counter-revolutionary forces. Napoleon was rewarded by Paul De Baras, Baras promoted Napoleon to a high military office, a position with access to the political spine of France. -
The Attack on Austria
France attacked Austria, Napoleon had been given command of the Army of Italy. Napoleon had welded a young, staving, and disgruntled army. His army had great force, a force that won victory after victor against Austirian opponents. This campaign is legitimately legendary. -
Napoleon's Campaign
Napoleon had left France for a campaign in Egypt and Syria, he was prompted by his desire for fresh victories, the French needed to threaten Britain's empire in India and their Directory's concers that their famous general might seize power. The Egyptian campaign was a military failure. -
His Legacy Left Behind
Napoleon has died on the Island of St. Helena, there have been debates that he had died aresnic poisoning, or from stomach cancer. But some people would say that he died of Natural Causes.
