    Back home, Napoleon got behind the Corsican resistance to the French occupation, Napoleon had sided with his father's former ally, Pasquale Paoli. After, Napoleon & his dad soon had a fallout, and then a civil war broke out in Corsica in April 1793. Napoleon became an enemy of Paoli, and his family was forced to relocate to France, and they decided to use the French version of their last name. Their new last name was Bonaparte.

    By the time Decmeber came, Napoleon was a hero of Toulon, Toulon was a general and favourite of Augustin Robespierre; but shortly after the wheel of revolution turned, Napoleon was arrested for Treason

    Napoleon once again was a hero to the people, he had defended the government from angry counter-revolutionary forces. Napoleon was rewarded by Paul De Baras, Baras promoted Napoleon to a high military office, a position with access to the political spine of France.
