The Beginnings of Napoleon's Military Career

Aug 1, 1785

Napoleon had started his career as a second lieutenant with a garrisoned artillery unit. He has eventually spent three years fighting with the Corsican in the French Revolution against the French themselves.

Seige of Toulon

Jul 9, 1794

After the capture of Toulon, the city that had been taken over by British troops, Napoleon was appointed to Brigadier General. This had lead to his commandment of the French military artillery within Italy.

The change in location

Apr 9, 1795

After Napoleon's engagement with Desiree Clary, Napoleon was then moved to the Army of the West. But their main conflict was the war in Vendee which Napoleon was not partial to participate in.

Quickly Reappointed

Oct 3, 1795

After the royalist declaration of rebellion against the National Convention in Paris, Napoleon was then reappointed. With Napoleon's artillery expertise, Napoleon was able to successfully repel the attackers on the 5th of October.

The First Consul

Nov 9, 1799

After Napoleon's escapades through Egypt resulting in only minor gains inland and losses, he returned to commit to another Coup D'eta. Which had led him to lead to his eventual election as First Consul.

The Crowning of Napoleon I

Dec 2, 1804

After the successful establishment of monarchial rule, Napoleon was then crowned. Napoleon was crowned as Emperor by Pope Pius VII at the Notre Dame De Paris.
