1775-1783 Revolutionary War
The Revolutionary War was an 8 year battle between Britain and the US. The first major battle was Bunker Hill where the British drove Americans from Breeds Hill to Bunker Hill. After that George Washington took control of the army. The 3 most important battles of the war were Lexington and Concord, Saratoga and Yorktown. United States declares independence
United States declares its independence against Britian. The United States after being under British control declares that it will be independent. The battles started in Lexington and Concord. The first two actions that launched their success were the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party, two courageous efforts at rebellion against tyrany. This influenced the United States to finally decide it was time for freedom.

Begins military school

Mob strikes Paris
The Royal Family and King Louis XVI were placed under house arrest. At the time, the French abused their power by over taxing the public and giving them little politcal justice. Napoleon after years of fighting and hard work was finally promoted to General of the West Army. He moved up the ranks quickly in the military, but was furious it took so long for him to be promoted. Marries Josephine
Josephine was his first and only love. This positively changed his success rate. His French Nation was barely staying afloat and then he married Josephine and suddenly there was sharp turn around. In the next 10 years, when he was happily married he conquered or forcefully made enemies sign peace treaties. Napoleon signs Treaty of Amiens
In 1802, Napoleon signed the Treaty of Amiens with Brittian. This was significant because the British and French were at the time the two most power cities. The British had the most powerful navy and the French had the most powerful land army. Neither army was touchable and they tore their enemies apart. Napoleon becomes Emperor
Napoloen after years of hard work and dedication became an emperor. He was the first French man in over a 1000 years to be crowned emperor. He was crowned by the Pope Pius VII. He was the best military strategist ever and moved up the ranks quickly. The major moment that led to his crowning was when he returned from Egypt. France was at war with most of Europe and he stopped them from collapsing, by taking over the French Government and French Army.

Napoleon crowned King of Italy in Milan
Napoleon was crowned the King of Italy. This is important because he was so respected that he was crowned king in a different country. He at one time was an emperor and king. One of his greatest campaigns ever, was his first attack of Italy when he captured 160,000 people, 2,000 cannons, and 170 flags. Slave Trade ended

Paris falls
Paris falling was Napoleon's last critical milestone. It was the ending point of an amazing run. After being in wars for 20 years it finally ended with Paris falling. Napoleon's rule appeared to be on a downslope and then suddenly he pulled out four victories in a row. Napoleon had a storied career and ruling. He died at 52 of stomach cancer. He spent his last 6 years in confinment by the British Island of Saint Helena. Most historians said he died of stomach cancer, although some said he died of arsenic poisoning. -
Mexico declares independence
The war for independence in Mexico was fought between Spain and the people of Mexico. The fight started in 1810 and ended in 1821. The Spanish Government became aware of Mexico's revolt and planned to arrest their leader, Hidalgo. However, on September 15, 1810 he held a meeting to plan the revolt. They fought a battle against the Spanish with clubs, knives, stone slings and ancient guns. Hidalgo was killed and he was the fuel that let to Mexico's independence. (presidiolahia.org)
