My story in writing begins at the age of 4 when I started attending preschool and began to take basic classes such as holding a pencil and my first strokes.
-
In that same year, I took my first steps in formal writing by learning the vowels and my first consonants. Learning lines and shapes gave its first fruits.
-
The following year with a more complete knowledge, I am proud to learn to write my name. My parents taught me those 5 basic letters to achieve it.
-
For the following year, with a more complete vocabulary, I learn the alphabet and gradually take my first dictations.
-
In third grade, in my calligraphy classes, I am still struggling to improve my pulse and do the exercises better, but in the long run, it becomes a tedious exercise for me and when I see my classmates progress, it shows me and I decide do not to improve my calligraphy.
-
I graduated from primary school in 2004 and I manage to have one of the best spellings all over, thanks to the efforts of our teacher in reading and dictation exercise with reinforcement of weak or difficult words.
-
In eighth grade, one of the biggest frustrations for me began in terms of writing, because we began to structure the essays. There were many attempts and even more rejections from my teacher and I began to see how impossible it was to be able to do one well.
-
That same year, with a lot of dedication, I decided to be able to overcome the challenge and when the miss assigned an essay, I did it soo well that she thought that I had taken it from the internet. But I did prepare myself by looking up essay examples and trying to understand them.
-
At university, I learned that there are no universalities, but rather that things can be broken down to their smallest expression and that writing, like essays, has multiple parts, and that it is best to individualize and choose a form of writing to be more specific.

The Academic Writing course today English Composition has been a new challenge, for a couple of semesters I have been trying to pass it and I have fallen short, but it is a new challenge for which I feel motivated to pass. I will try to better apply the previous steps from now on.
