This is me, only a few days old. I feel as if this was important to include because this was how it all started. Little did this baby know at the time how much was ahead of her.

On the first day of kindergarten at recess time, I, a very shy kid, who wanted to make friends at recess but didn't know how too was playing on the monkey bars. There was another girl who was playing alone on the other set and I wanted to talk to her. I had the courage to ask her if she wanted to play with me. She said sure and ever since that day we have been inseparable. Little did I know in that very moment that I was talking to my best friend who is now like a sister to me.

When I was 6 years old, I had my first riding lesson. (You can definitely see in the photo that this was my first lesson because of my heels!) I consider this a very important day in my life because it was the day I started doing what I am passionate about to this day.

My first horse show was one of the most important days of my life. When I first got to the show, I was scared, and to make matters worse, my trainer had told me that my horse Jewel, the horse I had been practicing on and was going to ride for the show, hurt her leg between the last time we practiced and the time we arrived for the show and as a result I couldn't ride her. I was so upset. I had to ride another horse. However, I still got on and I ROCKED the show and got first place.

After throwing all of my spare change into a wishing fountain and all those prayers to God , I finally got the sister I have always dreamt of having! My little sister, Hannah, has changed my life and I can't imagine life without her. Everyday, Hannah never fails to make me laugh or put a smile on my face!

Here is me and my horse, Jewel, after jumping together for the first time. At first, the thought of jumping was very intimidating, I was very indecisive, but after my trainer lectured me that everything was going to be fine, I was confident enough to do it, and it was the best feeling ever. After I jumped, I was so proud of myself and that first-time feeling helped me build my confidence as a rider and be brave enough to make my way to bigger jumps.

In early 2018, I was given an amazing opportunity to work at a Therapeutic Riding Facility. I can't describe how much it has changed my life. I have formed many positive relationships whether it's with the horses, the participants who inspire me, and the amazing staff. I have carried all positive and negative riding experiences to this amazing place and used them to help my participants succeed. Seeing my participants thrive is the best feeling ever and nothing makes me feel more content.

On New Years Day (2019) my "special" aunt had a baby. When I was little I didn't know any better, I kept asking her when she was going to have a baby and as I was growing up I kept telling her every time I saw her that I wanted her to have a baby. When she first told me she was pregnant in 2018, I bawled my eyes out because I was so excited. I love Eva so much and anytime I see Eva I get to "babysit" her and I get to play with her. My goal is to be just as special to her as my aunt is to me.

One of my dreams growing up was to go to Disney World but sadly, my parents were always busy considering they both had full time jobs. Last year, I had the opportunity to go to Disney for choir and sing and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! I made so many memories that I will remember forever.

On December 15th 2019, I went go to see where I stood as a rider. It went really well and I am relieved because the closer this day approached the more stressed out I got. I came to the realization that this is an area where I am gifted, and that I want to compete in college and for as long as I can. I was supposed to have more shows in the spring but they were all canceled!
