    I like old scary movies.
    My favorite scary movies were the ones that were old and gory. To this day, I prefer classics over the more modern versions. The only movie that stills scares me even at this age will always be the werewolf in Silver Bullet.

    All my father listened to was old classic Rock n’ Roll music. Old bands like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin were just one of many examples what he played. He played his music with cassette tapes.

    I get my first Yee naaldlooshi story.
    I remember my grandfather telling me a story about a mythical creature known as Yee naaldlooshi which means “he/she goes on all four legs” or skin walker. Apparently, this skin walker was messing with our herd of cows and our family on the reservation when I was just an infant. Therefore, he always keeps a rifle with him always while traveling the reservation especially at night.

    Since my interest in History especially American History I got the chance to travel to Washington D.C. for a week. I considered it the most highlighted moment in school. I had a chance to visit monuments, libraries and even got a glance inside the house of senate in one of their meetings.

    My freshman year at Dobson I had no clue which club I should join. One day I was invited to join the Native American club since all Native students joined that club. Since that day, I learned more about other tribes and including my own.

    Everyone has one school subject they’re good at and my is History. I can retain and explain history so well that my family would sometime ask me some basic questions about History. I talk about History for hours and never have to take a break.

    When I arrived at Westwood my junior year I decided to join a sport. I liked running a lot and my family suggested I should join the cross-country team. I impress Coach Nissen so much I made boys varsity team before my first race.

    During track season my junior year I got invited to the Mesa City meet at Red Mountain High School. The only events I did was 800 meters and the 1600 meters throughout the whole season. The event I was in wasn’t what I usually do in track, but I still managed to score second place in the 4x4 relay.

    During mid-March my family and I took a trip to Tucson and picked up our German Shepherd. We named him Bear after the University of Arizona’s motto “Bear down!”. Bear instantly became part of our family and we love him a lot.
  • I decided to enlist into the military after High school.

    I decided to enlist into the military after High school.
    It was right during the summer that I pledge to enlist into the Navy before High school ended. I did have my mind set on applying to the University of Arizona, but I changed my mind due to three reasons. I know this wasn’t the goal from the start, but I know my family already supports this decision.
