The time i went camping
My guidance counselor had enrolled me over the summer to a stay a way camp for a week. I was so scared about going because I was not a big fan of staying over places because I get home sick easily. I tried to hide the paper when I got home but my parents got an email and there was nothing I could do. When I got there my heart was pounding it was overall a terrible experience. The first night two other kids in my bunk were arguing. I'm going to make sure that never happens again. -
Almost failing 8th grade
During my middle school years I had this vision that middle school didn't matter. So I did terrible my 8th grade year and got called up to guidence and they told me I need to pick it up or I won't pass 8th grade. So I worked my butt off to pass all my classes and not fail. It was hard but i was doing it. I slowly got better grades and as the school year progressed my grades got better and I got called up to guidence and I was really scared. But they told me I was able to move up to high school. -
Damien and simon
The summer going into sophomore year changed my life.I met two people who changed my life. There was two people Damien and Simon. We watched them do drills and out of nowhere they invited me to workout with them. So I did and after that day it made realize how much i enjoy basketball and even when taking it seriously I never saw it in a negative way when i missed a shot or made a shot I had fun and enjoyed and it made me realize this was something I wanted to pursue. This was a great decision. -
When I got my cat
During the summer my neighbor had kittens and so I asked my mom if we could get one.She said only if I promised to take care of it bathe it when needed to feed it etc and I said yeah. So we got a cat I was a Big Kung Fu Panda at the time and so I named her tigress. She is the coolest cat ever and my parents are split up so when I go up to my dads I take her with me and she is a good cat she does not make a sound in the car. She has helped me be better and responsible, I am glad. -
My First NBA game
During february my dad had bought us tickets to go see the Knicks play. They played the Milwaukee Bucks we walked around New York city before the game started and it was awesome I had a burger and got a cool hat. When we went to the game I had a blast we got popcorn and i'm number one foam finger which was the best greatest thing ever. The knicks lost no surprise there but I had never been to msg and it was a great experience. This was also the day we found out we i was going to have a baby bro. -
Baby brother (Xavier)
I was so excited when Xavier was going to be my baby brother.He is someone I can help whenever he needs and be a good role model. I'm glad that i'm able to be around for xavier. With him being apart of my life i have grown. I've become more responsible. He shown me what's it like to have an impact on someone's life and be a good role model. I can't wait for him to get older so that I can help him grow and help him whenever he needs as well as having him help me become a more responsible. -
The time i got honor roll three times in a row
Many people may see and think... So? But to me it was awesome. Junior year is the most important year so I was stressing really hard. I really needed to do good because I don't know what I want to do. So I worked harder than i ever thought I could. First quarter I was one point off so my goal was to get it next quarter. And I did I worked so hard and each quarter from then on I made honor and I was so excited and proud of myself and hopefully I can keep it up my senior year. -
Getting cut by the basketball team.
The amount of time I had put into basketball was unreal. Basketball was something I could play practice watch youtube videos for hours on hours and not get bored.When tryouts were here I was nervous. My dad told me be confident you have improved greatly and you have a good shot you will be fine.I had left the last day of tryouts feeling good . But nope. I didn't make the team. I was really upset because this was a goal of mine for a long time and when it didn't happen i was devastated. -
Basketball camp
A friend had told me about a basketball rec league over the summer. I had got all the information and contacted the man. He told me to go to one of his practices and I did. When I went I did not know anybody there except one kid. Everyone was friendly and nice and after the workout the coach said he liked my presence on the court i worked hard and i could be on the team. I got really excited and all. We went to get a sheet unfortunately i was not able to participate because i couldn't afford it. -
crashed my moms car
During the summer I went to go pick up my friend. My mom would let me borrow her car since at the time I did not have one. As I was pulling up to their house I hit the rock wall that led into there house. I was so nervous showing the crack in the car to my mom but luckily she was not that upset and just said i have to save up enough money to pay for the damages when she goes to get it fixed. My dad said it wasn't that bad of a crack but i still was nervous showing it to my mom. -
The day I got my first car.
The Day I got my first car was a really big achievement for me because it was a goal I had set out in the beginning of summer. I got a job the second week into summer and once I got the job that was the first thing I had set on my mind. At first it was not looking all that good at all because school was coming up and I didn't have enough for a car. Luckily my birthday came up and my parents and grandparents were nice enough to give me some money and I was able to get the car that I wanted. -
Damion and Simon Pt2
That day the courts were filled and these two guys came over and I greeting them nicely I didn't remember who they were till later and then I realized it was Damion. He had me workout for a little to see if I got better and he said I did Later Simon came and I told him how basketball was not looking good. He told me not to stress he got cut all his years playing basketball and now he is playing professional basketball. That gave me a little hope. Maybe not for basketball but anything can happen.
