    Bag Phones
Around the time I was born, my parents got a bag phone. I remember this phone as I got older, it would sit in the middle of the console of the car and we would only use it during emergency situations! Now cars have cell phones built in and most of us don't leave the house without one! Image from Wikipedia.

When I was in middle school, I received my first cell phone. At the time, track-phones were the "in" thing. I begged my parents for a more "cool" phone at the time but looking back I was thankful. I am attached to my cell phone today, whether its texting or checking emails. Little did I know that in 6th grade a cell phone would be a huge part of my life.
  • Music

When I was in middle school, all music was pretty much on CD's. It wasn't until I was in the 8th grade or so that we started putting music on our smart phones. Listening to music or books on the phones were the best thing we could think of at the time!

In 2007, I received my very first GPS. I had to travel 8-9 hours and my mom bought me one for my birthday. Today, I use the GPS on my cell phone so using an actual GPS like a Garmin, is not necessary anymore! Image from Google.
