I was born in South Korea, Seoul. I was born at 9:21 A.M.
-
The first day I went to kindergarten felt very busy. My kindergarten's name was Maru. The teachers were very nice and caring.
-
A couple of months after I started going to preschool my mom opened a piano school. I did not want to go but she made me take the classes.
-
When I got off the plane everything was new. People were walking around with blue and green eyes. The people there had blonde hair. They were all so tall and looked so happy. Then I realized my dad had lied to me. He brought me to this unknown place without telling me. For that reason I did not talk to my dad for a month.
-
The first day of school in the US was very interesting but also made me feel nervous. My first grade teacher was very humorous. Some students there greeted me but some people did not like me for being Asian.
-
It was a day before my birthday in South Korea. My dad had told me that he was going to take me on a plane ride as my birthday present, but it was a lie. I did not have the opportunity to say goodbye to my friends and had to leave the country.
-
I had to flunk first grade because at that time I did not know how to speak in English at all. Thanks to the teachers I've had I was able to improve.
-
My mom was addicted to moving houses so our family had to move multiple times. The worst part about it was that I had to move schools every time.
-
The first time I moved schools, and houses was in 2nd grade. We moved to a bigger house and I moved to a school named Gauer elementary.
-
The next school I went to was named Holder Elementary. The teacher I met in that school was my role model. She was very interesting but also serious.
-
I was able to visit Korea in 2013 October through January. I met my grandparents that I haven't seen for years and my other relatives.
-
After a couple months I had to go back to the US. I told my parents that I did not want to go back. They told me that I could become more successful if I studied in the US.
-
I used to live in Anaheim and because of my mom, I moved to Garden Grove. Many Asians lived there and I was able to interact with many people.
-
The first day of middle school was very frustrating. I was lost and was not able to find my classes on the first day. As the school years went on I was able to meet new people. I eventually got used to the school.
-
On the last day of middle school I was in 8th grade. Everyone started crying inside the multi-purpose room. Middle school was very memorable.
-
It's been my dream to join Bolsa's volleyball team. I joined summer league and everyday was very tiring. We had to run two miles every day but I was able to pull through.
-
The first day of high school was a bit toxic for me. Everything was new with taller people. The school campus was very huge and there were so many new people from different schools.
-
In elementary I had a teacher that was very out-going. As I moved up to high school there was a teacher that looked exactly like my elementary teacher. Not only that they had the same personality. Then today I got suspended for an unreasonable issue.
-
In the beginning, I thought high school would be very toxic to me. Eventually, it got better and I was able to meet so many people that I never knew I would get close to. As time passed my boyfriend and I started drifting and also because of personal problems we broke up after 2 years of dating.
