The competition was a school event ballroom dance. I had a pretty blue navy/dark blue suit and my partner had a gray and black one. The first time we danced there was a problem with the music at the start but it was fixed and me and my classmate won! -
I remember looking down from the plane seeing white all over the land. I was so excited and happy to see my mama again and the snow. It got so cold, just from plane. I had a jacket on but it wasn't enough. It was a good thing my mama brought me a winter jacket. -
I did not know how to ride a bike before I got here in Canada because I was scared of falling down. One day me and my brother went to the park with one of my mama’s friends. I wanted to learn how to ride a bike so she held my bike all the way back to the house and I learned how to ride it! -
For my communion I had a beautiful wavy white gown. At church I was given “wine and bread”. I remember how much I didn’t like the wine but still drank it anyway. Before the event happened, me and my family took tons of photos at home and at Church. -
I went to the hospital because my stomach was hurting. It hurted for quite a while. One day at school, I wasn't feeling well. My mama came to pick me up and my papa went home early from work. We went to the hospital and it looked so big, even from the inside. I had to get my tummy looked at. -
At first I didn't really understand what was going on but I didn't have to go to school so I was happy! And thought COVID would be just a one month thing. But then things got more serious. There’s a lockdown and there are several cases happening all over the world. -
My papa woke me and my brother up at midnight saying my mama was having the baby. My brother and I couldn't believe this was really happening but once we prepared everything we needed and drove to the hospital, we definitely changed our minds, this really was happening. Me, my papa, and my brother waited for quite a while that I fell asleep, and when it was time to see them, I was so excited. -
As a reward from my dad of how I have been through the pandemic, he told me that he would buy me something. I asked for a piano and my mom and I searched for one through Amazon. I was so excited the day we opened up the package. I helped build it. -
After opening up my new piano, I looked through all the notes and paper that came with it and saw an ad for the learning piano app, SImply Piano. I downloaded the app and soon I started learning how to play the piano. It was so exciting to be able to learn the piano pretty easily. -
My first day of Junior high was not at all how I imagined it to be throughout the summer because of COVID. However, I was still so excited because, for some reason, I always get excited for the first day of school. I thought it would be a bit difficult to get to every single class on time but so far, I'm doing well.
