This is a very important part of my life because it is the day I became an Arkansan. It is part of the reason I am who I am today. -
I was legally adopted.- Personal
This day is important to me because it is the day my family became official. Although my parents had been my parents since I was two weeks old, this is the day that they were able to officially adopt my brother and I. -
I decided I wanted to become a teacher.- Professional
This is important because although my mind strayed from teaching from time to time when I considered other professions, my heart has always led me back to teaching. Not many people know their calling at such a young age, but I did, and for that, I am blessed. -
I moved to Tennessee.- Personal
This is an important part of my life because it is the day I became not onlt a North Carolinian and an Arkansan, but a Tennessean as well. All three states are reflected in my personality, values, and interest, and also, my accent. -
I graduated from Cosby High School.- Professional
This is the day that I officially felt like an adult! It was bittersweet to leave my old life, but it was the beginning of a new one. -
I began college at Walters' State Community College.- Professional
This is important because it was my first day of college. However, I enrolled as a nursing major. I didn't choose education as my major until the next January. -
I graduated from Walters State Community College. Professional
Although I did not attend the ceremony, this was still a very important event in my life. It was the day I officially received my Associates of Science in Teaching. My diploma gave me something tangible that I am proud of. -
I began dating my boyfriend, Hunter.- Personal
This is important to me because Hunter has been my saving grace. I feel like he is a blessing sent to me by God to make up for all the pain from my past. Every time I feel overwhelmed and want to give up, he gives me that extra push to keep going. -
CNU GRADUATION!!!!- Professional
This will be one of the most important days of my adult life. It is the day when will officially become a licensed teacher.
