My Milestones

  • My Birth Date

    I was born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts which is also where my parents grew up.

  • Moved from Massachusetts to Maryland

    We had to move when I was young because my Dad found a new, more rewarding job here in Maryland.

  • Major Accident

    I was run over by a car in my Senior Year of High School at Howard High. It broke my left tibia bone spirally and I had to have surgery to have a titanium rod and four screws put into my leg to stabilize it because a cast wasn't enough.

  • Graduated High School

    I graduated from Howard High School with Honors.

  • Started College

    I started college at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA. I was still recovering full from my bad accident a few months before, but I was ready to have some new experiences!

  • Quit College

    This was a big deal to me because I was so close to getting a Bachelor's Degree and I just couldn't make it all the way through. I had to quit for financial reasons.

  • Boyfriend Passed Away Suddenly

    This was one of the most important milestones in my life so far. I had been dating the same boyfriend for 11 years at the time he passed away so suddenly the day after Thanksgiving Day. It was a huge shock and it's something I'm still recovering from to this day.

  • Got Dream Job

    I decided I had to move on with my life after my boyfriend passed away, and I was able to find the job I still currently have. I started as a Temp at D.H. Bader Management Services, Inc. and I am now a full time employee working as an Accounting Assistant and Accounts Payable Representative.

  • Went Back to School

    I started at Howard Community College on this day. And I remember feeling so proud of myself for finally going back to pursue my dream career!

  • Inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society

    This was an even more important milestone because it's something I never even dreamed of. I happened to get straight A's for a few semesters in a row, which meant I had a 4.0 GPA, so I was offered membership into the National Honor Society here at HCC.

  • Present Day!

    This is the day I am making this timeline.
