Egypt is my home country I was born and raised there. I lived there for 12 years.

I was in 4th grade. there was a huge field trip at my school and it was so expensive at the time. I wanted to go so bad especially cuz I never went alone before I usually travel with my family. I saved my money every day for about a month and I collected half of the price trip. then I talked with my parents and they were happy that I did that so my dad decided to pay for me and he told me to save my money for myself.I couldn't sleep that night. I think it was the most trip I enjoyed in my life

I was in third grade. I loved social and world studies at that time. I loved reading about my country's history so I had good grades in that class. one day my teacher said there will be a history competition next week. I applied for it and I studied so hard. there were 10 questions and the one who answers the right one faster will get the points. I focused so hard. I won first place. and the was the first competition I joined.

I remember every detail about this day. it was a school day and we were on the lunch period. I was sitting alone eating my lunch and doing homework. And the girl who is now my best friend came out to me and said hi can I sit with you. I said sure but deep down I didn't really want her to sit cuz I was kinda scared of meeting new people. We talked a lot that day. and from then we became so close friends.

I was in 5th grade when I start playing the piano. There was a new music teacher at my school. I wanted to try something new and fun. I applied for that class and I took it for 2 years.

I always loved to write anything. I liked to write about my feeling, my favorite days, what makes me sad, everything that came into my mind. It's the best way to express what I feel.

I was always known as the shy girl in my class. I was so scared to have the lights on me. I was usually avoiding speaking in class. but this didn't last forever. one time I was so brave that I applied to be a motivational speaker for a concert that was made In my school. I have no idea how I did that but I did it. I was shaking the whole day but I was so confident when I was on stage. I was so proud of myself especially cuz I was young I was in 5th grade.

This day was the eid which is an Islamic holiday. I and my friends decided to spend the whole day together. we first meet up with our families. then we all went to have breakfast together. we went to a lot of places. we had so much fun. we went back to the end of the day and we watched a movie together at home.

It was my uncle`s wedding. we were waiting for that day forever. I love my uncle so much we were so close. that day was so good from the beginning to the end. we danced so much and we ate so tasty food.

I was born and raised in Egypt. but the education there was not that good/ so my dad tried for almost 10 years to get us to America to have a better Education. from that time my whole life changed.

when I first came to the United States. my English wasn't so good. I knew vocab and grammar but I had an accent. I was so scared to talk to people. day by day my English got to improve and I forced myself to talk. that way I learned that making mistakes is the best way to learn.

when I was in 7th grade I didn't really have a hobby. in my free time, I would just write or draw or listen to music. I wasn't really open to trying new things. one day I decided to take a new step and to try something new. I stayed after school and I asked the teacher about the activities that happen after school. most of them were sports and I am not really an athletic person. That reason even pushed me more to apply for the sports and I chose volleyball cuz I saw more girls there.

I like to help anyone who needs anything that I am capable of doing. one time in my math class we were taking a new lesson. it was kinda hard for some people but for me, I got the idea from the first day. the teacher gives us an activity to check our understanding. I finished the first one and I looked behind me and there was my classmate struggling with one question. I stayed after class with him and I skipped my lunch. I taught him how to solve this problem.

Sadly I couldn't attend my graduation cuz we had to go to my home country ( Egypt ) before the graduation date by like a week before. I attended only the practice for graduation. My teacher knew that I could not be there so they brought me a gift. I was so happy that they thought of me. also, they took a lot of pics for the graduation and they send them to me. they were so nice.

when we were in Canada I saw the zip line game. I wanted to try it so bad but it looked so risky. I told my sibling to go with me but they were so scared. I decided to go alone. and it was one of my best decision.

In the summer of 2018, my dad decided to take us on a vacation to Canada. we saw the nigra falls. we had so much fun. we spend like 2 weeks there.

When I have free time I usually draw or paint. It makes me feel so much better. It distracts me if I am overthinking something. but I didn't really saw it as something I am good at. It's just a hobby. but I got good comments on some of my paintings so I decided to actually learn how to draw and improve my skills. (The Image below is one of my sketches)

I don't know how to explain this in English words but I was a part of an Islamic school. I go to it at the weekends. I have so many friends there. I like to participate in helping activities like helping the homeless or distributing free food or any stuff like this. so when the teachers realize my hard work there. They wanted to thank me and give me a trophy in front of the whole school.

This year is my junior year where I should take the SAT which will decide the college I will go to. I was always wanting to be an engineer but I didn't really know or sure about what kind of an engineer I will be. This year I tried so many things and I did so many researches about them. Finally, I knew what I want. I want to be an architectural engineer. I chose this major because it combines the 2 things I love to do which is Math and Art. I am gonna work hard to achieve my goals.
