I was born
I was born on June 8th, 1998 in Detroit, Michigan. I was born tongue tied; though I got it corrected at a young age, it still caused me to have a stuttering issue that I still deal with today. Otherwise, I was a healthy baby. -
Moved to Arizona from Detroit, MI
In the summer of 2004 (I was six years old) my family, who was tired of the snow, packed up and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. We lived in a small apartment for a year that was constantly infested with scorpions. Though it was a decent apartment, it was right in front of a mountain which attracted scorpions, snakes, coyotes, and javelinas. (Talk about a warm welcome!) -
Moved to Casa Grande, AZ
In July of 2005, we moved to Casa Grande, Arizona. At first, we lived in a nice rental house a few streets over from where our new house was going to be placed. We fell in love with the smaller-city life and had a house of our own built that we're still living in today. -
Adopted 'Mimi'
In the summer of 2007, we adopted our dog, Mimi. She's a black and white mix of...well, we're not exactly sure what breed she is. We found her laying in front of our car one evening. We put out some food and water for her, but in the 100+ degree heat, we brought her inside. She went straight onto the couch and she's been with us ever since. -
Rufus passes away
In July of 2008, our Black Lab/ Golden Retriever mix, Rufus, passed away. He's been in the family long before I was even born. We unfortunately had to make the decision to put him down after he was unable to get up and refused to eat or drink. -
Adopted 'Rocky'
In December of 2008, we adopted Rocky, a young Golden Retriever from our neighbor. He greeted us by marking his territory on the Christmas tree when we brought him in to meet Mimi. Needless to say, he was at the vet a week later getting neutered. -
Adopted 'Scruffy'
In the summer of 2011, while driving around our neighborhood, we noticed a small, matted and dirt-covered dog underneath a flatbed trailer. We eventually lured him out from underneath the trailer and desperately looked for 'lost dog' signs for days. We couldn't track down his original owners so we decided to keep him. His name is Scruffy (which is fitting to the condition we found him in) and he's been with us ever since! -
Enrolled at Primavera
In early January of 2012, I enrolled at Primavera. I enrolled due to some issues I was facing in middle school; I had some 'friends' that constantly criticized me over the way I looked, the way I dressed, and so on. I also began to develop an anxiety disorder which made it difficult to be in a brick and mortar school. Luckily, my older sister was already enrolled at Primavera and encouraged me to give it a try. I've stuck with it ever since! -
Joined World of Warcraft
On February 25th of 2012, I joined an online game called World of Warcraft. Little did I know, I would meet two people, Kyle and Thomas, who would later become my best friends. They lived all the way across the country, but that didn't stop us from becoming best friends. They got me through tough times, including when my parents got divorced. It was also after I joined World of Warcraft that I discovered my love of gaming that I am still passionate about to this day. -
Parents get divorced/overcoming anxiety
On June 12th, 2012, my parents were officially divorced. This is one of my lowest points in my life. My older sister, Emily, along with Scruffy, moved in with my mom in a two bedroom apartment. It was so difficult being away from my dad and not being able to see him as often. During this time, I was also starting to overcome my anxiety that kept me from going outside for months. I slowly reintroduced myself to places such as the grocery store until I became comfortable going there. -
Dad gets remarried
On October 12th of 2012, my dad and his girlfriend got married. They had a small ceremony at a chapel in Las Vegas. However, this was also a low point in my life. I had a lot of resentment about my dad getting remarried and didn't attend the wedding. Though I deeply regret not attending, I was dealing with a lot at the time and luckily my dad understood. -
Adopted 'Ladubyg'
On August 10th of 2014, our neighbor's dog got a hold of a young feral kitten at my dad's house. My dad was able to get the kitten away from the dog, but unfortunately, the kitten passed away in our arms. Shortly after, however, we heard a faint meowing outside the door. There was a small black and white kitten on the back step and brought her in. Ladybug, as we named her due to her black spots, has been with us ever since. -
Move back in with dad
In late November of 2014, my sister and I moved back in with our dad. He and my stepmother were struggling financially and my stepmother had no other option than to take her old job back in her home state of Mississippi. We saw it fit to move in with our dad to spend some quality time with him before he moves to Mississippi as well.
