The day I was born my family was so happy to see me and because my mom already had my brother, everyone wanted me to be a girl. My cousin who's like my second mother, named me Trina. That day, my uncle had a gold bracelet that spelt out my name made for me which is quite common in albanian culture. I still have it, but it no longer fits.

When I was 3 years old I was standing on the base of the fireplace which was extremely dangerous but as a little kid i didn't realize that. Everyone told me to get down before I got hurt, but I didn't listen which was a big mistake. I slipped and fell face first onto the stone. Luckily I barely missed my eye but, I ended up getting a big cut on my eyebrow. I had to go to the emergency room that night and get 6 stitches. Now I have a big scar on my eyebrow but you can't really see it.

It was school picture day. I was a really shy kid that didn't communicate very much. That day my mom picked out my outfit and did my hair using a lot of hairspray. When it was my turn to get my picture taken I didn't know what to do. The woman behind the camera kept telling me to smile but since I was so shy I couldn't get myself to smile. So, my kindergarten picture is a picture of me with a straight face looking like a scared little kid. I look at the pictures now and laugh.

One year my family decided we should go to Florida for summer vacation, we went to Daytona beach. When we were in the ocean I was having so much fun swimming and playing with my cousins, when all of a sudden i stepped on something really pointy. I screamed due to the pain where i then ran out of the water. When I got out I saw that I had stepped on a little cactus, It really hurt. I was to scared to go back into the water so for the rest of the trip I avoided the ocean.

My family and I went to Kosovo the summer of 2012. I had not been there since i was 4 years old so I didn't remember much about the place. When we landed, I got to see family members that I hadn't seen in a long time and I was happy to be there. Both cousins on my dads and moms side were so nice and I didn't realize how much I missed them until I got there. We had a lot of laughs and created many memories that I will never forget. Leaving was the hard part, but I knew that i'd see them again.

It was my first time going to the city and I was so excited. Me and my family decided that we should go to the city see we have never been. I got dressed up and got in the car. When we got there it was so beautiful. We went to times square which was so amazing, I had never seen anything like it. We took so many pictures that day as well as went shopping to some of the best stores. I had so much fun, I never wanted to leave

I was absent for a few days so I didn't really know what was going on in class. When I went to school after a few days my math teacher told me there was a quiz. While I was taking the quiz, I knew this wasn't going to end well. When we got our quizzes back and I saw my grade I thought I was going to cry. I was so scared that if I show that grade to my parents that I was going to be in so much trouble. Luckily, my teacher didn't count it seeing as how I never learned the material.

I had my braces on for 3 years and at my last check up I was told that at my next appointment I would be getting them off. I was so excited and I couldn't wait to get them off because honestly I was getting tired of them. The first 10 minutes that I got my braces off, I didn't like how I looked, Probably because it was something I wasn't used to. After a few more minutes I actually started to like how I looked and that there wasn't one mirror that I didn't look at my reflection and smile.

I was at my cousins house a few days before my birthday. She said she had to go run a few errands but I didn't think much of it. The whole day my cousins asked me if they can try out new hairdos and eyeshadows on me which was a bit strange. Around 7pm, We went over to my house because my aunt had come over, or at least that was the cover up. When we got there I turned the knob and everyone jumped out and yelled "Surprise!"

My mom was back in Kosovo because my grandfather was very sick and her and all her siblings went to see him. I was in class one day and it was just like any other day, until I got a phone call saying that was grandfather had passed away that morning. I broke down, I was crying in the middle of class up until I could finally use my legs where I then ran out of the classroom. I had not seen my grandfather in about 2 years and I didn't realize that that would be the last time that I would see him.
