  • MY BIRTHDAY!

    MY BIRTHDAY!
THE DAY I CAME OUT FROM MY MOTHER'S WOMB! :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMANTHA! WELCOME TO THE WORLD! Of course my parents were estatic to have their second child, and they named me 袁悅. I was actually born in Hong Kong(S.A.R.) at Canossa Hospital, which my mother told me was her second most painful day of her life! If I was not born, I would have such a life ahead for me and achieve greatness in the world.

My "TWIN" is 3 years younger than me!
Unexpectedly, my little brother came into the world on my very third birthday. Since then we shared the same birthday. This day is significant because, from then on I had to be less selfish and take care of my younger brother when my parents are away. Also, sometimes when I am sad or happy, I can have someone to make my day. Without my brother, I don't think I will develop a sense of compassion and patience which are key in the world.
  • Canadian Immigration

    Canadian Immigration
My parents thought it would be best if we moved to Canada for our education and better lifestyle changes. In Hong Kong, the education system was quite harsh, and was very hard to catch up to. As a 7 years old, Canada was not such a big transition for me because of the school life I experienced in a British school in HK. So I was used to the many different people. If I did not move to Canada, I think I would have been a rebellious child and not care about school.
  • First Trophy

    First Trophy
My first achievement I ever received. Only moving into Canada for 2 years, I transitioned pretty fast and smoothly. Ever since I was young, I was never confident of myself and ever dream of gaining 1st place for English Grammar class. With this achievement, I think it boosted my confidence that I am able to achieve, if I tried my best.
  • Going to Church for the first time

Going to Church for the first time
My family was first introduced into the church during my grade 4 year. At first, I wondered why people were so spiritual and I did not care much to ever listen to the teachers and adults. But through years and years, I develop an attachment with its kind people who are my close friends and began my spiritual walk and changed my values.
  • Finally an Official Canadian Citizen

    Finally an Official Canadian Citizen
Living in Canada for already 6 years, I can finally become a true Canadian citizen. I was proud to be part of this joyful and free nation and call myself a CANADIAN. Also, being part of Canada gave me a sense of nationality and a bond between the country. Because of all the things that Canada has provided for me, I feel it is a duty as a citizen to give back for giving me the title of a Canadian citizen.
  • Grade 8 Graduation

    Grade 8 Graduation
Yay! I'm finally a high schooler! Graduating grade 8 was quite an accomplishment and I have made it. For 5 years in Lincoln Alexander Public School, I am going to miss the friends that are going separate ways and all the great teachers that helped me through all these years. This graduation does not just stop there, but it represents a new chapter of life that opens up opportunities for me into the next 4 years in High school.
  • First Day of High School

    First Day of High School
A new chapter has opened up for me! Richmond Green, who's motto is "Where Tomorrow Begins", opens up opportunites for me to explore for another new beginning. With many excellent and interesting courses provided for students to be creative and explore reality.
  • My Baptism

    My Baptism
    Happy Second Birthday!
This day marks my new life. Through all the years of struggles and believing, this represents my renewal and give my life to devote for Jesus Christ, who I believe is my saviour. Because of this, it has changed my view of life and decisions as I devote all to Christ.
  • Grandma's Untimely Death

    Grandma's Untimely Death
This day was filled with sorrow when I found out my last grandmother on my dad's side fell into an unexpected coma and past away the next day on the hospital bed. Since we lived in Canada, my dad rushed back to HK as soon as he got the news. Sadly, my dad could not make it on time and my grandma peacefully past away. Although I am in Canada most of the time, I was not relatively close to my grandma. However, her presence and her happiness to call every night made me see the compassion in her.
