    Finally was potty trained. Took a bit longer than usual - possibly some Shame/Doubt in abilities.

    Trust vs. Mistrust: Camping on a Glacier
    Got stuck on top of a glacier while campling with my dad and uncle. OUr truck wouldn't start because it was too cold. Was totally freaked out, but my dad took great care of me enhancing my trust in the world.

    I pushed my baby sister down a flight of stairs in her walker. She was unhurt, I was learning about the "power" that I possessed and also learning about the power my mom possessed.

    Uprooted from my life in CO, scary being in a new place. Had to try to make new friends. Stay at home mother - didn't have as much child interaction so developed some guilt.

    This was an industry raising event, along with initiative (making friends and asking them to come to the park and play ball) as well as well as furthering competency stage as I mastered hitting the ball and progressing in my skills.

    Initiative and Industry: Started Kindergarten
    Indian Creek Elementary, met my 4 best friends that I still have today. Began the process of developing industry in school.

    Was a lead part in my 4th grade production of the Nutcracker. Pride and success lead to increased Industry.

    Repeated failures in PE classes, being overweight, and getting made fun of because I was slow and not as good of an athlete.

    Was trumpet section leader, band president, leading candidate for drum major, 1st chair trumpet in the state of Kansas.

    Took a 2 week trip to Europe with the Kansas State Lions Band, touring 8 countries. Realized I didn't like my band director so quit high school band when I returned.

    First long-term relationship, ended with girlfriend cheating on me.

    Acted on stage for the first time during one act plays, wasn't a member of the band any longer, quit high school baseball team, and was hanging out with a wide variety of friends.

    Graduated from Olathe East High School and began preparations to attend Truman State University.

    Student Teaching in Okinawa, Japan
  • Intimacy: Met my wife

    Met my wife in a night class and at a taekwondo class. She asked me out first. Went on 1st date at Cheesecake Factory.

    Thought I was going back to Japan and wife didn't want to go with me, so I broke up with her. Taught at 2 summer camps, and started applying for teaching jobs.

    Reunited with my wife, was in love.

    Proposed to my wife for christmas.....she just laughed and never said yes (at least that is how I remember it)

    Found our house, began remodeling and preparing for 1st child.
