    Born in Birmingham
  • Begin Kindergarten

Started Kindergarten at Mountain Brook Elementary School at age 5
  • Met Caroline

I met one of my lifelong best friends on the playground in Kindergarten. She had cochlear implants, which fascinated me.
  • Cochlear Implantation Exposure

Caroline had to get her final surgery implanting her second cochlear implant while we were in 2nd grade. I was with her throughout it and was still so fascinated by cochlear implants.

    My aunt becomes an Audiologist

My aunt went back to school to become a licensed audiologist at Auburn University. (ROLL TIDE THOUGH)
  • Internship

I interned during one summer in high school under my aunt. I worked the summer with her watching her run tests on patients.
  • College- HYDR

I enter college at the University of Mississippi as a Special Education major.
  • Camp McDowell Special Session

I volunteered at an Episcopal Camp where special needs adults come for one week and experience camp! I grew to love this path and believed Special Education would be my calling.
  • Changed My Major

I grew really unhappy with my major. I felt called to help people suffering from disabilities somehow but I didn't know really how I wanted to do that. I was in Math 245 class one day and my friend told me that Ole Miss had a program that could help me on track to become an audiologist!
  • Letter of Intent to Graduate

I have just turned in my letter of intent to graduate and hope to obtain my degree in the spring!
  • Took GRE

Over Thanksgiving, I took the GRE and my scores were good enough to apply for Auburn University's Audiology program! This is my first time taking it, and will most likely retake to boost the score and maybe even get into UNC!
  • Applying to Auburn

I am currently in the process of applying to Auburn where my aunt went! Truly have come full circle
