I was born to a computer programming father.
 -

As a young tot, I learned to run and play Commander Keen (using cheats and all) on my dad's work computer while on vacation.
 -

I'll never forget the day our new family computer came home...a 1995 Gateway (the box was spotted like a cow...we still have the box).
 -

I distinctly recall the Encarta '95 program that I was allowed to use as a child. I'd put the CD in the drive and look up different dinosaurs and beg to print them out in full colour.

My parents never bought me a gaming console, but I sure loved playing at my friends. For my birthday one year, my parents rented me one for a week over spring break from the TVS Video store. I didn't leave the basement for a week!

In grade 3 I saved up all my money and was allowed to buy a Gameboy Colour and the Pokemon game.
 -

My friend and I were asked to make a PowerPoint presentation at the board office to show off the new SmartBoard. It didn't work and our teacher had to click the mouse when we tapped the screen.
 -

Mom dad, the computer guy, asked me to turn off the computer on New Years Eve 1999...just in case!
 -

Again, saved all my money to buy the greatest console of its time.
 -

  It was born!
 -

Pay as you go...for emergencies...no texting...thanks mom and dad!
 -

My friend bought an iPhone on eBay from the USA before they were available in Canada...coolest kid ever!
 -

My first laptop...all set for university!
 -

Found out I could make free calls anywhere in the world over wifi. Of course, Skype and FaceTime exist as well. But for those landlines you need to reach this was huge!
 -

  Finally!
 -

Took my first Teacher and Tech course.
