My mom and dad wanted somewhere new to live. They chose Bakersfield because the houses are cheaper than in Burbank. They also liked the schools that were around the neighborhood.

My godmother had a dog with a litter of puppies. The rest of the puppies were black except for one. We ended up choosing the brown and white one and named him Nacho.

He was diagnosed with cancer on June 29th and passed way exactly 2 months after. It was very abrupt and unexpected. For a while I would stay home and take care of him while my mom was at work, because he was very weak. My mom and I go to the cemetery every Sunday to visit him.

My godmother was also diagnosed with cancer November 2014. She had been battling cancer for two years and would have chemotherapy regularly. She underwent several surgeries but was unable to recover.

It took me a couple of practice sessions. Usually I would drive in empty parking lots. I'm pretty good at it now and will soon be able to get my permit. This is when I actually started feeling like an adult.
