September 6, 2005. My first day of school. Around this time is when I first started to experience role conflict. As well as school, I played T-Ball, did Karate and dance. Some days I would have 2 activities back-to-back and would have to rush to each one. Times would overlap and my weekdays and weekends were always full.

May 31, 2012. My little brother was born. This was a life-changing event for me because from this day on I had to become accustomed to having a sibling. It was a big transition from being an only child to being a big sister.

July 1, 2013. My family moved to Goderich. Although I have been coming here since I was young, I was still very nervous to move here. Not only did I not know anyone, but I was also starting at a new school where I had to learn who everyone was at the same time that I learned the social norms of the school and groups of people within the school.

July 2, 2014. My little sister was born. It was another big life-changing event, similar to when my brother was born, however, because I already knew what it was like to have a younger sibling and the responsibilities of being an older sibling.

September 8, 2015. My first day of high school. Although I was going to the same school building, I was still pretty nervous about starting high school. I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to social norms and different social institutions within my high school.

July 3, 2016. I went to Italy for 3 weeks to earn school credit. I had never been on a trip like this before, so it was completely out of my comfort zone. I was super excited to be able to live in and explore Italy while also spending time with my friends and learning. The trip was board-wide, therefore there was a cohort of 36 students, plus another student from Italy that we spent time with.

July 30, 2016. I got my first job. Getting my first job was a huge change for me in many ways. I had to learn customer service skills and I was learning how to manage my money as well as my time.

November 3, 2018. I got my G2 driver's license. This was a huge transition for me as getting your driver's licence is seen as a step towards "adult-hood". It was a huge change and challenge for me to purchase my own car, learn about insurance and different expenses.

October 2020. I will officially graduate high school. Although I am starting college in the fall, my school is not holding its graduation ceremony until October. I'm very excited to start this new chapter of my life, but at the same time, I'm also very nervous. The transition from high school to college is going to be a big adjustment, but I am eager to start.
