I was born at Troy Beaumont hospital. I am a younger brother by three years to my sister, Kim Goodrich. I was born with asthma, and that caused a stressful situation where I needed medical equipment to breathe for the first few minutes. The doctors were able to fix it, I still have asthma but nothing as bad as it was back then.

My parents got me baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica. My father grew up Lutheran. My Mother grew up Catholic but converted to Lutheranism. I plan on being a pastor in the future.

I started preschool at Trinity. I quickly moved to Collins Elementary to work on improving my motor skills. I also worked on my social skills. I went to Collins until 3rd grade. I was in preschool for 3 years.
-
After second grade I talked with my parents about returning back to Trinity. I wanted to go back because I wanted to go to a Lutheran School. I also wanted to go because my sister was going there. This decision played a huge role in my life because if I didn't go back to Trinity I'm not sure if I would be at Northwest. I also don't know if I'd still be a Christian.

When I started 5th grade we were given a choice to join strings, band, hand bells, or choir. I decided to join hand bells. This was the first music class I ever took by choice. Other music classes before would be recorder classes all grade schools did in 3rd and 4th grade. I thoroughly enjoyed hand bells and if I could get back into it I would.

In 5th grade the option to join sports became available. I decided I wanted to join basketball. I was not very athletic but I had a fun time doing it. It also helped me with working with a team and working on physical skills.I made some really good friends while doing basketball. I also had an amazing coach who was also going to be my 7th and 8th grade teacher.

In 6th grade I decided to join the track team. I wanted to join track because my 5th grade teacher was the coach of the track team. Joining track would be difficult with my asthma but I was able to figure out a way to work with it. I was a short distance runner that would run 100m sprints and 200m sprints. I was not great at doing long distance because I was not good at keeping an endurance and I also had difficulty with my asthma. I also excelled at shot put for field events.

After 6th grade I went to a summer camp called Camp Lutherhaven. That week at Camp Lutherhaven was the one of the best weeks ever. Throughout my life I had difficulty understanding grace, and couldn't comprehend how I could be forgiven. It wasn't until I went to that camp that I understood grace. I truly felt God's love there and realized I wanted to be a pastor. I wanted to make as many people as I met know that they can be forgiven and receive God's love.

In my 8th grade year we started taking a confirmation class to prepare for our confirmation. At this point I have already started thinking about being a pastor. The confirmation teacher, Patty J, is the best theology teacher I've ever met. Her passion for the subject encouraged me in my faith. Most of my family came for my confirmation and it was great to be able to have the chance to confirm my faith.

I graduated in 2016 from Trinity Utica. Our class of 2016 was one of the greatest classes that went to Trinity. I was planning on going to Northwest after the summer. There were only a few people going to Northwest that went to Trinity so I knew I wasn't going to be alone. I was a bit upset about saying good bye to my friends at Trinity but I knew I was going to make new friends at Northwest.

I started my Freshmen year in 2016. My time at high school has been some of my favorite years of my entire life. I've made some really strong friendships. I've learned some amazing advice from some of my teachers and a lot my mentors throughout the years. I also joined drama in my Freshmen year which is one of the best choices I ever made.

High School has been the best years of my life. My favorite year would have to have been freshmen year. I met some the most amazing people in my life. The teachers at Northwest are amazing. The time here went by really quickly. It's really disappointing how much the Corona Virus is taking away from my senior year, but my friends are still there for me.

This was the first play I have ever been in. Throughout this play I met almost all of the most important mentors in my life. All though I didn't have a speaking part in the play, because I was just a freshmen at the time, there was still a lot of stuff for me to do. I worked on set builds on Saturdays and grow friendships with a lot of juniors and seniors. This play was one of the funniest plays I have ever seen and done.

This was the first play I did that I had speaking lines in. It was a spoof of all the dystopian future movies there are. It was directed by a mentor and good friend of mine, Caleb Nelson. In this play I got to work with many of my other mentors and friends. I played the part of Paisley, the odd character of the group. Caleb said that my passion as an actor helped me fill that character greatly. Playing as this character was the most fun I've ever had as an actor.

This play is one of the most bittersweet memories I have. This was the last play of my freshmen year. It was also the last year I had of acting with the director Mrs.Richert, and many of my mentors I had that year. Despite the sadness I felt with this play, I believe it is the best play Northwest has ever done. I didn't have any lines in this play but my role was big and symbolic, my part showed that anything could happen if you reached for the stars.

This play is the last musical Iv'e done. I played the part of Captain Brackett who was a stern general during WW2 for America, who was stationed in the South Pacific. For this role I had to be very serious, which was new for me, but I did get to have a few numerous lines in the play. Throughout this play I got the chance to make friends with some of the seniors my sophomore year that I didn't talk to as much my freshmen year. The change of directors was hard, but I still did my best.

This past summer applied to Camp Concordia as a junior counselor to get all my joy hours in. I found out about the camp by a friend who was a junior counselor there. I thought I was just going to be there to get joy hours but I was surprised by what happened. While I was there I made some really good friends and met some awesome people. But most importantly I realized this was a chance to share God's Love just how the counselors at Lutherhaven shared his love. Those two weeks were amazing.

Although Up the Down stair case was a hard play for me to do, some great things came from it. I realized that I have become an amazing actor. I have become closer with a friend since sophomore year a lot more this year. My self worth and value rose a lot more when I saw how much I've improved in acting. I started becoming more independent.
-
This is the last play I have done at Northwest. I started to realize my Junior year that I wasn't enjoying doing drama any more. I decided I would try one more play and after that if things didn't go well then I wouldn't do drama anymore. I realized I only enjoyed hanging out with the tech crew. I still enjoyed giving the play everything I had, but I ran into too many disagreements with the director that I decided I should stop after the play. Although acting was fun,I just couldn't do it again.

The past week and a half we have had to stay home due to the Corona Virus. It is disappointing but necessary. Although I do prefer the online classes, I miss being with my peers in person. My friends and I call each other throughout the day so it's not the worst. I really hope the virus goes away soon and we can go back to school before graduation.
