  • Logan

    Logan
I met Logan when I was in second grade and he was in third. A fifth grader pushed me off the swing and Logan saw and punched him in the face. I had never even seen him before, but we have been best friends ever since. We were always completely inseparable until he moved to California and even then we talked on the phone everyday and he came and visited for summer. On March 23rd of 2014 he was hit by a car and pronounced dead a few hours later at the hospital. I still think about him everyday.
  • Sexual assault

    Sexual assault
My step dad began molesting me when I was eight years old. He said to me if I told anyone then he would hurt my mom and my little sister. I was alone and afraid everyday. No one knew. He also proved to be the cause of my severe depression and chronic anxiety disorders when I was older.
  • Kristyn

    Kristyn
I have an older half brother Nathan, a younger sister Emily and then my baby half sister Kristyn. I love all my siblings, but she was born at a time I was really depressed and I have a special connection with her. She was born November 14, 2011 and she is easily my favorite person. She is incredibly smart for just three years old and she is so funny and sweet. I don't get to see her much because my dad and her mom are now divorced, but when I do she clings to me like a little monkey. I love her.
  • Riggin

    Riggin
I have only known Riggin for about two years now but he is my rock. I feel like I have known him my whole life. He is one of my closest friends and the only person I can tell anything to and not be judged. I drove him up to college in Utah last fall and it was one of the hardest goodbyes I've ever had. We talk on the phone every day and never get bored of each other. Sometimes I feel like he was put into my life just in time to become close before I lost Logan and I am thankful everyday for him.
  • Mental Hospital

    Mental Hospital
I have terrible nightmares about what happened to me when I was younger every now and again, but in April of last year everything was just too much to handle. my relationship with my parents sucked and I was struggling with a health problem and in school. On top of everything the nightmares were eating me alive and I thought suicide was the answer. I had thought about it millions of times before. I ended up in a mental hospital for two weeks. That is also the first time I ever told anyone.
  • EVIT

    EVIT
Evit was the best decision I ever could have made. First year was anatomy and physiology and second year will be when I get my CNA. It is a career based school that I spend three hours of my day at after I do three hours at my high school. My Senior year I will be graduating with my CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) which puts me a year ahead of people who take the course after graduation. After college and medical school my end goal is to be pediatric oncologist.
  • Ana

    Ana
I met Ana in my junior year Evit class. We instantly became best friends and I spend almost everyday at her house. We always joke that we should record every time we hang out, because we're hilarious. I am very thankful to go on next year and get our CNA's together, but I am incredibly thankful for the friendship and support she gives me.
  • Thyroid diet

    Thyroid diet
The summer before my sophomore year I began getting very sick. I was passing out, I couldn't hold down any food and I was gaining weight rapidly. I was in and out of the ER with wrong diagnosis and sometimes just being told I don't know. After months and months of feeling sick and missing a total of 25 days of school in one semester they ran a more in depth blood test. I have hypothyroidism.
  • Second Best

    Second Best
Out of my Evit teachers am and pm classes I scored second best grade on the final and overall. The only person who beat me by one percent was Ana. We worked extremely hard all year and lots of late night study sessions and I am proud that we got first and second. We even canceled a double date we had to study longer for our midterm. The boys weren't happy about it, but hey we both got a perfect score!
