The Day I Was Born
My mother conceived me, at the age of 18, with a missing high school and an incomplete middle school. My father never abandoned "us". the reason to say this is because, being Hispanic also brings a lot of stereotypes. When it comes to a child, most would expect the father to magically disappear, mine didn't. -
Kinder Garden Song
I was 5 years old when my kinder garden class and I sang a song to our parents. Talking honesty it was a very cheesy song. The song's name was Skidamarink, we even had a choreography for it. I was so anxious to see them, when I did it was the moment I stared jumping to catch their attention. -
My Sister
I the age of 7 I wasn't too aware of my surroundings.My mother wasn't at home at all, not even me I was at my parents friends house. They took me out shopping for toys so I was too distracted to notice my caretakers weren't there. When they did come back, I got into the car ,and it smelled like baby lotion, Johnson's bay lotion.That's when I realized, we had a new member in the family. -
I Move To Mexico
After my parents got separated, they were never really married, we all moved to Mexico. It was exciting until, I realized they talked in a different language. I was scared, I had to force Spanish on me, so I kinda forgot a little of my English. -
Middle School
So it's been a year since I moved to Mexico. I could speak and write but, it was hard comprehend in Spanish. School was a hard subject, except English, so I would get bad grades. Hard enough on me, parents could not understand how hard that was. -
I Moved With My Father
My parents didn't live together. Well my mom, in Mexico, couldn't give me the school I wanted. I moved with my dad, I did know he remarried but, I wasn't worried about that, I was excited to know I was gonna have a baby brother. Well when I arrived to the states, turns out a miscarriage arrived before me. -
I Move Too Much
I was assisting a High School named Alhambra. Parents moved so I had to go with them, well I started in another named Westwood. Parents had an argument my father and I moved, back to Alhambra. They got back together, moved to Mesa. Another argument, this time I left to live with some uncles. No one ever asked how I felt about the situation. -
Twins
After some time my Step-mom became pregnant again. Twins what a surprise, there was a huge fight of it. My mothers side of the family was talking about how bad it was that I accepted her into my life. Well here we go again, another miscarriage came the way too. That was a hit since I was there to see that belly get big each month. -
The Beach
My sister never got to see the ocean for the fist time, it was a fun trip. Family members live near the ocean, we all thought it was a good idea to go. I don't like the beach anymore too much sand, salty water hurt my eyes, and I got a bad tan line. -
Vegas
We already went to Las Vegas on a previous occasion. Although we don't remember. Seeing that little 10 year old happy, excited, and confused at the same time was priceless.
