My High School Experience

  • Where I'm From

I’m from taking all day trips down to the lake,
And coming home to a fresh cooked meal.
I’m from grilling out with family and friends,
Too staying up all night watching movies.
I’m from waking up at four in the morning to go hunting,
And staying out all night until we came home with a deer.
I’m from long drives to Lacrosse tournaments out of state,
Too short plane rides were hours seem like minutes.
I’m from the hot summer sun bearing down on us as we played,
And the cool breeze of the air cond

My First Day In A New World
Going into freshmen year, all kinds of thoughts flowed through my head. Where do I go? What do I need? What if I am late? All that I knew was that it was a terrifying start to the next 4 years of my life.

  • My First Lacrosse Tryouts

    My First Lacrosse Tryouts
I started off the year with no worries about lacrosse, until I heard the news, that people will be cut. I knew my lack of experience and knowledge lowered my chances of making it, but I didn't let that bring me down. I tried my hardest all 3 days until the moment of truth; unfortunately I didn't get the results that I wanted. I was 1 of the 5 cut. I thought from here on out this would be the worst 4 years of my life.

A short lived summer filled with lacrosse, family, and friends comes to an end. The school year is about to begin, however my mindset was different. I was much more ready to begin the year, and a lot less stressful. All that I knew was that this year was going to be my year.

    A New Hope
Tryouts have begun, the stress, the adrenaline, and the passion is flowing through my veins. I knew all the hard work I had put in during the summer was really helping me out. I have changed a lot over the year, it may not seem like it physically, but mentally I am much more experienced and know a lot more about the game.

Hadest School Year Is About To Begin
My fun filled summer playing with the kids I have grown up with comes to an end. I begin my junior year of high school. Growing up I was always told that this would be my hardest year, but I had no idea what was about to come. The homework got harder, the books got longer, and the teachers got stricter. I was done with being babied, now was a reality check to the future.

  • Where I'm Going

    Where I'm Going
I’m going to a place where 5 inches of snow is normal,
    And going mudding is unconventional.
I’m going to a place where I’m the new student,
And not everyone is from the same state.
I’m going to a place that will dictate the rest of my future,
And all the trials and tribulations that go with it.
I’m going to a new world filled with mystery,
And I will have to be the one to figure it out.
I’m going to a place where I won’t see my family every day,
And I will be the one who has to make the decisio
