My Highschool Career

My First Day of Freshmen Year
Today marks my very first day of high school. I have been at marching band camp for the past two weeks so I see a few familiar faces but everyone else is a stranger. I am not used to this many people being in the hallway. Seniors do not seem to be as mean as everyone says, the other students are welcoming. The lunch room seats are not assigned, the teachers do not make you stand in a line wherever you go. The freedom in high school is like a breath of fresh air!

    Halfway Done With Freshmen Year
Freshmen year has had a slow decline. I am dating a junior so I have an "in" with the upper classmen. My grades are not great and I am still hanging out with the same people I hung out with in eighth grade except for a few friends I have made in some of my classes. I have had my eye on my friend Cliff for a while but I have a boyfriend (who I plan on breaking up with soon anyways) so it would be wrong. This year has been a little dramatic and I am glad it is almost over.
  • First Day of Sophomore Year

    First Day of Sophomore Year
This first day is definitely less exciting than my freshmen first day. I come to school knowing more people but a little less anxious to get my classes. I am happy to see my friends who I did not see over the course of band camp. I think I want to start standing out more this year. I know what I will do, I will cut my bangs differently. I should definitely cut my bangs differently. It will look great!

I should not have cut my bangs. It looks so awful and I do not think Cliff likes it. It does not really matter what he thinks anways, he is not my boyfriend (even though I really wish he was, he is so cute and I still really like him from last year). I am still not doing so great with grades but I am doing a little bit better. I should probably start trying but it seems a little bit late for that and I am a little burnt out from marching band. Oh well! I can always try next year, right?
  • First Day of Junior Year

    First Day of Junior Year
I am starting to really not care at all for the school year. I know these people. I have known them. The only people I really care for I have seen during the summer at band camp or by free will. The only person I am really happy to see is Cliff (of course, this obsession needs to stop I know). I really hope this year has something to offer unlike the others. I want to have a movie-esque high school experience. Bring it on, Etowah.

    Halfway Through Junior Year
I finally had my movie-esque experience! The boy I have been after for years finally noticed me and we are happily dating. Cliff romantically took me to a museum and kissed me in a photobooth so I would say this has been the best year for me. My grades are surprisingly doing a lot better as well. They are still not great but they are not bad! I cannot wait for next year.

First Day of My Senior Year
I cannot believe this is my last year in high school. Everything has gone by so quickly that it seems almost surreal that this is my last first day ever in high school. I am ready to give this year my all and have the best time I have had yet in all my four years. I am still dating Cliff (happily), I am closer to my friends now than I ever have been. I have a very good feeling about this year!

    Halfway Through Senior Year
I am in awe that this is the last straight of high school before I graduate. I have seen myself grow a tremendous amount and I am unbelievably proud of how far I have come. I have been dating an amazing guy for a year already, I have all A's, I have a great group of friends, I am accepted into the college I want to go to. Everything is falling into place perfectly. I cannot wait for the future and everything that it holds for me. Etowah has treated me very well, but I cannot wait to leave!
