The Talon Newspaper Staff
My freshman year i was accidently put on the newspaper staff when I should of been on the newspaper traning class first. I can say, that was the best accident they could have done for me. I loved newspaper and I wish i took it all four years instead of three. I love to write and this class helped me expand my horizons and try different types of writing. Journalism is something I am considered undergrading in! -
First year for Shop With An Eagle
During my Sophomore year, Etowah sponsured Shop With An Eagle for their first time. SWAE is a funraiser for children that cannot afford to have christmas. We save up enough money to take them shopping so they can wake up with presents under the tree christmas morning. I was not a mentor but just a helper but I knew this was somethingI wanted to help with every year. -
Community Service Award
My sophomore year I decided to particatipate in the 60 hour community service award. This award is a letter you recieve when you have comppleted 60 or more hours of community service. A lot of my community service was toward the school and the Cherokee Humane Society. -
Drivers License
This day was the day I got my drivers licsense. This was the summer before my junior year and the day after my birthday. Getting my drivers licsense was a huge leap of freedom. Having a driver's licsense and a car opens up a gate of oppurtunity. -
Prom Night
This was my first and only prom. I did not go my senior year but I am glad i got to go at least one year. I went with my boyfriend and some of my friends at the time. That was definatly I night i will never froget in my high school life. Dances are not really my thing but I am glad I went to prom. CHECK SPELLING; EDIT -
Kennesaw State University
Today was the day I got my letter to Kennesaw State University. I know it is not the college of my dreams but it is a great start. It's not really the college I am talking about, it is more about me getting into college in general. I have worked hard for 12 years so I could go to college and now it is finally here. Opening that letter was the start to my future. -
Community Service Cord
In my senior year I did not do the 60 hour or more community service award so I was also suprised to get an invitation to the award ceremony this year. Seniors are rewarded a cord if they have lettered and pinned in community service. My sophomore year I got a letter and my junior year I got a pin so I was qulified for this award. I was nice to be recognized for the hard work I have done. -
