My High School Journey

  • The beginning of freshman year

    The beginning of freshman year
This is a picture my mom took of me at the sign in front of the school. At this moment I didn't know what to think, or what to even do. The only thing I knew about high school was that it was big and scary. My mom kept letting me know that everything would be ok and I wouldn't have anything to worry about.

End of freshman year band concert.
This was my second concert after joining the Etowah High School band. I was very excited to be a part of this and these are the two people I started out band with. My friend andrew(far left) was the one who made me join band. The three of us all play trumpet and this was a way for us to fit in at this new school.
  • The Beginning of Sophmore year.

    The Beginning of Sophmore year.
When I was an underclassmen, I was to say the least, obssesed with video games. My favorite game was guitar hero. On this game you can play the drums, bass, guitar, and even sing. I really got into it and ended up being the 79th best guitar hero drummer in the entire world. I also won 1st place at a competition and won 100 dollars. That was a lot of money then, it still is today. I'm pretty sure this is where I got my love of electronincs.
  • The End of Sophmore year

    The End of Sophmore year
This was the happiest moment in my entire life. The day I got my drivers liscense. I couldn't of been happier. This was towards the end of the year which meant I got to drive to school as a sophmore. And once you get off the smelly hot bus, going in your own wheels actually gives you some motivation to wake up for school.
  • Junior Year

    Junior Year
This is when I got my baby, my first car. I am very fortunate to get a car. I was also fortunate to get a pretty nice car for being a 16 year old at the time. I loved getting this especially during the summer so I could go and do whatever, whenever. This also finally gave my parents a break from driving me everywhere. They were very happy for me and also happy to get a break.
  • The last part of the summer (Junior Year)

The last part of the summer (Junior Year)
This is my half brother Garrett. He lives with my dad and my stepmom so I don't really get to see him as much as I would like too. Even being only half brothers, we have grown closer than people with full blood brothers. We fight just like everyone else, but in the end we love each other. This was my last couple weeks of freedom before i headed back for my junior year at Etowah. I was pretty excited to finally not be called a underlassmen. Growing 5 inches in two years helps a little bit too.
  • Duet Concert (Junior Year)

    Duet Concert (Junior Year)
Jonah Salyers and I volunteered to participate in a duet concert and Oak Grove Elementary School. We both really enjoyed the event besides standing in the sun in our tuxes. It was fun though, we got to play solos for everyone that was walking in the building for the schools orientation. This also helped me stick to band because playing solos was something that I was starting to enjoy a lot.
  • End of the year concert (Junior Year)

End of the year concert (Junior Year)
This was the anual concert at the end of the year for the concert band. Sadly the was the last time that my friend andrew(far right) would be in a concert with us. His mother was making him choose between track and band, so he chose to go run track full time. If you look back from frshman year, you can really see a difference in how much we have changed. It's actually kind of funny... But anyways, this is when i started being the tall kid around school.
  • Summer Trip before senior year started

Summer Trip before senior year started
THE ford mustang. Most people's dream car(and mine), was sitting in my driveway. My mom wanted to take me on a trip to Panama City before my senior year as a "candidate" started. So we got to rent a brand new 2013 mustang to drive down to Florida. We went down there to stay at a friend's beach house for pratically nothing, which was awesome. In this picture it doesn't look like i'm that tall but my mom is 5'10". If that gives you an idea of how fast I grow.
  • The End of Summer

    The End of Summer
These were the little two person carts that you can rent down in Panama. My mom and I got one of these and used it to drive around in because the traffic is awful there, no matter when you go. This part of the trip was really enjoyable because we got to tool around the town and go eat, play minigolf, and most importantly, go to the beach.
  • Senior Night

    Senior Night
This was it. It came so fast, almost too fast. But i was very, very excited. It was senior night for the marching band. This was a big night for me and my parents. This is the only picture I had and unfortunately, it got a little blurry. The night was really fun. We got to walk onto the middle of the field and get our names announced. Then we got to walk through the ROTC and get our picture made. Knowing mothers, mine wa balling by the time she got here, but that's what they're for.
  • Senior band concert

    Senior band concert
This was one of our last concerts as a band. This was one of the last times that we would ever play together for the rest of our lives. The guy on the right is my friend Jackson. He was in band with me since 8th grade, but we didn't become friends until senior year. We had a lot of fun at this concert and really enjoyed playing together. The end is finally here. We are about to graduate and start a whole new chapter in our lives. I am really excited and ready for what life throws at me.
