Around this time, I have learned to scribble on walls and papers using crayons and pens. Of course barely any of these are legible and understandable but are still the first steps to the world of Media. -
Learning Of Broadcast Media
At this age, my mother told me that I was now listening to radio. My mother told me that I used to dance to radio even though I am stil just learning to walk. -
School Learning Through Media
This was the time started to go to school. The teachers used chalkboards as their way of teaching. As students, we were also able to use the board...even though it wasn't for educational purpose at times. -
The World of Colored T.V.
At this age, my mother told me that I have started to watch television. She said that my favorite was Spongebob Squarepapnts and that at times I tried to copy him. She said that I also learned a lot of words and gestures in the television. -
Creating my Own Media
At this age, I have learned how to write and draw legibly on pieces of paper. I have learned to show how I see the world through drawings, -
Gaming With Media
Around this time, my mother got me a game-boy sp and I learned how to play it. She said that I improved my speaking and writing skills because of this. -
Dial Phones
I learned of telephones and their use. I exchanged numbers with my classmates and we would call each other for assignments, bringing news, or just for fun. -
Computer Technology
My mom and dad bought a computer for home. Mom showed me and my siblings how to use it and we were fascinated... well at least I was. I used the computer for various stuff like looking things up but most of the time I used it for games. -
Social Media Age
I learned of Facebook through my classmates. They said it was this website on the internet where we could communicate and share stuff. I created my account, added my friends, and my way of communicating changed forever. -
Wireless Connectivity
On my birthday, my mom got me a phone. I know of phones before but I didn't care about them. She taught me how to use it to contact people using texts and calls. Using a wireless device for communication was useful, but of course, I used it more for games. -
Moving Pictures Galore
I learned of YouTube at this time. I am ashamed of myself for not learning of this way before. It has lots of videos, may it be for educational, entertainment, or other purposes. -
WE ARE MEDIALIT1718
This year, we have a subject called MediaLit1718. It teaches us about media literacy, information literacy, and more. It taught me that I have a lot to learn about media and how to properly use it.
