Summer School @ Eastern Suffolk Boces

I worked in a classroom as a 1:1 aide with elementary students that were classified as Mentally Retarded. Had I not had such a wonderful teacher, I probably would have ran out of the education world.

Substitute Para at Eastern Suffolk BOCES

Forest Brook, North Country, St. Charles, Masera, Centereach, Sayville, Nesaquake/
Each one of these schools had different types of students. I fell in love with Nesaquake and never left.

Period: May 9, 2000 to Jun 6, 2002

TA @ Nesaquake LC

Got a Full Time TA position at Nesaquake LC & Began my Masters Degree for education at Dowling.

I was a TA in a Math class and Living Environment.

Nesaquake LC turns into Brookhaven Academic Center

We moved to a new building in Bellport. We were attached to the tech center which offered great opportunities to our students.

Earned my Master's Degree in Special Education

Interview with Mr. Feeney @ WFHS

I had made it through the special education interview and on to the principal of the building. Small world, found out he was president of the board of ed at my hs and he handed me my diploma at graduation. He hired me!!! I was told I would be teaching Bio and Health.

MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Wait, I thought I was teaching BIO!!! oops Welcome to Earth Science. My first year was hectic. We started the ICP program and I was teaching a subject I had little knowlege in!
