    Ghandi was born in Porbandar Gujarat, India. Ghandi was the youngest of hs fathers fourth wife. His Father, Karamchand Ghandi was the Chief Minister of what is now Ghujarat. Ghandi's mother Phutibai was a completley religious person and did not care much for wealth or jewlery. Ghandis family wasnt very educated but Ghandi wanted to be different. He wanted to become a lawyar.

    Ghandi passes the board exam and gets into law school in London. At this time Ghandi's mother died but he had no contact with ayone so he did not get the news.

Gandhi decided to do a peaceful nonviolent protest against this act by walking 240 miles to make his own salt. Thousands of people followed him to his destination. This event was known as the Salt March. The British government arrested 60,000 people including Gandhi.
