  • Mao Zedong

    Mao Zedong
    Mao Zedong was born in December 26, 1893. Mao Zedong was one of the people in the group of several who formed the first communist Chinese party. He lead the communist party from 1927-1976. Zedong also rebuilt the communist party and Red army during Japanese Occupation of China.
  • Cultural Revolution

    Cultural Revolution
    This was another one of the Maoist strong traditions. During the Cultural Revolution Mao's enemies along with millions of people were killed. This happened in 1949. During this he also blamed it all on the people that it was their fault which took pressure off him leading to deaths of kids and people.
  • The Great Leap Forward

    The Great Leap Forward
    The Maoist started a strong communist tradition including both the the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward. The Great leap forward was put into place to transform China into a heavy industrialized economy (build up industries into a system). This took a turn for the worst and ended up leaving many Chinese to starve to death.   • Tiananmen Square Massacre

    This event is when Chinese troops marched through Tiananmen Square in being to arrest and kill thousands of pro-democracy protesters.
