    The Industrial Revolution took place from around 1780 to about 1850. The Industrial Revolution was a process of developing machine production of goods.
  • The Formation of The National Assembly

    The Formation of The National Assembly
    The National Assembly was formed in The French Revolution. The National Assembly was a group formed by the third estate with a goal to pass laws and reforms in the name of French people.
  • The Declaration of The Rights of Man

    The Declaration of The Rights of Man was created in the French Revolution. The Declaration of The Rights of Man was a constitution for France that limited the kings power and gave more rights to the people.

    The Reign of Terror took place during the French Revolution. People were afraid of being caught by spies or accused of being an enemy and executed by guilotine.
  • War of Knives

    War of Knives
    The War of Knives took place during the Haitian Revolution. In 1799 Louverture controlled the north and Rigaud controlled the south parts of Haiti but when a disagreement about not wanting to change slavery emerged the War of Knives broke out. This brutal war lasted for over a year but eventually Louverture, with the help of the British, overcame Rigaud.

    The Peninsular War took place in the French Revolution. The Peninsular War happened because Potrugal refused to take part in the continental system so Napoleon sent troops through Spain to attack Portugal. From 1808-1893 Spanish attacked the French troops that were in Spain and won causing Napoleon to lose lots of men.

    The Congress of Vienna was created in The French Revolution. The Congress of Vienna had three goals, to prevent future French aggresion, restore royal families, and to restore the balance of powers. There was one problem, France was too powerful, The Congress of Vienna wanted to diminish the size and power of France while the power of Britain and Prussia increased

    The Opium War occured during Imperialism. The Opium War was a conflict between Britain and China lasting from 1839-1842 over Britains opium trade in China, when Britain refused to stop trading opium with China.

    The Signing of The Treaty of Nanjing happened during Imperialism. The Treaty of Nanjing was an agreement between China and Britain that ended the Opium War, Britain recieved Hong Kong.
  • Matthew Perry goes to Japan

    Matthew Perry was a key figure in the U.S. navy during Imperialism. Matthew Perry wanted to convince Japan to open their ports and trade with the U.S. so he showed up in one of Japans harbors with four ships. Matthew Perry had brought Japan a letter form the U.S. president asking to trade which led to the Treaty of Kanagawa.

    The Treaty of Kanagawa was signed during Imperialism. The Treaty of Kanagwana was an agreement between the U.S. and Japan to open up two ports to the U.S. trade and establish an embassy in Japan.

    The Meiji Era was the Restoring of Japan during Imperialism. People put their pride into Mushitio, the ruler of Japan in The Meiji Era. Japan became modernized when Mushito got ideas from foregin lands.

    The Berlin Conference took place during Imperialism. From 1884 to 1885 the Berlin Conference was held in Africa where 14 european nations met up to decide how to divide up Africa, no one from Africa was invited so Europeans could do it however they wanted to.

    The Boxer Rebellion took place during Imperialism. The Boxer Rebellion was a 1900 rebellion that was aimed at ending forgin influence in China.
